Absolutely. There's been smoke there for a while but delusional supporters still don't want to believe that there is nothing wrong with the club.

The footy department have the biggest 3 months ahead since the pre Paul Roos appointment in getting the right people in the door through the door whether thats coaching or recruitment.

There are a number of factors why there are players that are currently unhappy, but when it's your star player, you take on his feedback and do whatever it takes.

Gut the place, and put some fresh voices around our team and give them a game plan that is going to play to their strengths that will stand up in finals and win.

EXACTLY GUT THE PLACE starting with The President, Coach, the ENTIRE football department and then some. 100% BUYING IN ON THIS !

One can only laugh at the demonland cheer squad brigade who  will continue to defend the club at all costs. Watch them now blame Petracca in all of this haha.

Some supports really need to wake up.

I'm sure that some of this will be to do with the type of footy we are playing as well.

I think what concerns me more than this Trac news, is the implosion of the supporter base.

Continue with the personal attacks on people on here, with the attacks on the coach, President, and the players etc.

Not necessarily a blight on you @middleagedemon, as you have many friends.

it’s time to stick fat, support and galvanise.

Just saying……

He may not want out but I'd get it if he was frustrated.

Nasty knee in the back sidelined him for half a year.

His mate Gus out for good.

Max has been struggling with injuries.

And not a few others struggling for form.

It's not the club of 21 . Wouldn't be as  easy to return compared to then.

Club is rotten off the field. Every chance this is viney and petracca away of saying the off field needs to change or we leave the club.

Goodwin, Richardson, roffey, pert and the board all need to go.

Yep

WCW, what is your take on this?

From what I saw at training and from what I’ve recently been told chatting with the property stewards and one of the trainers and a couple of the boys re Tracc, this is very likely a huge bunch of BS, just like pretty much everything Morris says.

Of course Tracc is struggling with not being able to play and the extent and seriousness of his injuries, but that doesn’t mean he wants out.

I know it’s not what the soggy biscuit group wanna hear (NOT referring to you, Ollie fan. You’re one of my faves on here) but that’s my take on it anyways.

Totally agree with DeeSince 73, i am a DeeSince 55. We could of got Hogan. Goody and assistants must, they have lost the plot.

It’s ok we’ll always have our covid cup

Dude why even ‘support’ this club? Go find another hobby.

I’m sure what Tom Morris is reporting is true, Trac’s public comments since the incident have been pretty telling. It doesn’t take Sherlock Holmes to work out there might be some resentment and bitterness at what happened and that’s totally fair. But a contract is a contract, bad luck!

FWIW all of the young boys that have recently re-signed said they love our culture. Maybe they're talking about the YoPro sponsorship.

On the plus side. If Tracc, Clarry and Viney all leave we'll have 7 or 8 first round picks.

Yeah but by the time they will be ready I'll be DEAD!

If anything this makes a Clarry trade more likely. They’ll get rid of him to clean house

I guess the players don’t really appreciate contest and defence as much as Goody.

North would not be speaking with Jack Viney unless there was some small chance it could happen. Viney would have never dreamed of leaving Melbourne unless there was some smoke there, he’s too proud a man.

Hnmm a distinct but DISTURBING possibility. If he goes, cheezus there will be a LOT of Members INCLUDING ME Totally peeezed of. Seriously if he goes then our culture is poisen. Coz many other players stuff up and come out OK on the other side! Why can't we be the same. Sorry but if he goes, cheezus ARMAGEDON awaits!

LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die! It’s Indigenous Round for this game and the chance to celebrate and engage with Aboriginal and Torres

Failed to fulfill the promise of his breakout six goal effort against the Tigers in 2023 and was generally disappointing as a key forward. It remains to be seen whether Simon Goodwin will persevere with him in attack or return him to the backline where he was an important cog in the club’s 2021 premiership success. After a bright start to the season, playing mostly in defence, Howes seemed to lose his way in midseason but fought back with some good performances at Casey and finished the year back at AFL level. Originally an NBL basketballer with the Brisbane Bullets, he moved across town in 2019 to the AFL Lions where he played 19 games before crossing to Melbourne where he was expected to fill a role as a back up ruckman/key forward. Unfortunately, didn’t quite get there although he did finish equal sixth in Casey’s best and fairest award. Date of Birth: 23 February 1999 Height: 198cm Games CDFC: 14 Goals CDFL: 13

Sadly, had to wrap up a great career in midstream on the back of multiple concussions which culminated in the Maynard hit in the 2023 Qualifying Final. His loss to the club was inestimable over and above his on field talent given his character and leadership qualities, all of which have been sorely missed. The son of former Demon Brownlow Medalist Shane, Taj added a further 16 games to his overall tally of games but a number were as substitute. He is slowly fitting into the team structure but without doing anything spectacular and needs to take further steps forward in 2025 for his career to progress.
