Oh no Chandler going to get 2 goals, he's not going to lose his spot until the end of the season now

Don't worry. We've got Freo just where we want them.

Goody has a fiendish plan.....make them accountable.

That mark and kick from Melksham was the only thing to cheer about today.

Lovely mark and kick from Melky. I still don’t understand the 50 metre rule. It’s now all about protecting imaginary space, instead of punching a guy in the head, or wasting time. It’s so dumb.

Why the [censored] would we sub kolt.

Sparrow and chandler have been 100000% worse

1 . They haven’t

2. The kid needs a rest, now he’s not overdone and can bounce back next week

Fancy not knowing anything about football blaming a small forward for this performance when we are -19 for clearances 😂

Like him but Kade Chandler has probably been gifted too many games.

And he then kicks 2

Was sensational

Dogga's tatts look like he was bored in art class with a sharpie pen

How about Windsor on ball to start the last?

Would love to see his run in the middle

Ahhh because we are 6 goals down and need a change. Rivers was slow and lazy in the middle today. He wasn’t dominating.

Rivers has improved the backline. Salem has been more involved in the middle.

If we had 2 Rivers we’d just play both of them.

Everyone was failing in the middle in the first half.  Clearances 21 - 2

The no ruck decision is hardly on Rivers.

Aren't you blaming umpires? or the defenders when the midfield give up -19 clearances?

You can’t touch a Freo player without giving a free. What a joke.

They were smashed around the ground as much as stoppages

Disgusting Umpiring decision by Simon Meredith.

Neal-Bullen was pushed into the umpire by Fyfe.

I swear freo are getting free kicks just coz now.

Our performance aside, Freo have played some excellent footy. Working extremely hard to beat us on the counter.

Well that scores not great.

What happened to koltyn? The afl site said he could be out of the game

Just a strategic sub.

Please show me where I blamed the umpires?
I was saying they’ve been poor but it’s not why we are losing. Learn to read.

Senior defenders not defending behind the ball is also a big problem.

But when we have had so few inside 50s, you can’t be blaming forwards for this loss. Chandler been better than Kosi FYI.

You cant just throw a rookie on the ball.  He needs to train for it and learn a little about how to play the role first

Nibbler couldn’t hit the side of a barn if his life depended on it. Pathetic by foot.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
