I see Tarryn Thomas may be given a life line from the Saints. That’s despicable. If it was us I would not renew my membership.

He will s*** in the Saints nest like he did at Norf

He should not be on an AFL list or involved in the AFL ever again

He's a nice kick, maybe if we trade Fritta, but I'd prefer Wright. We don't want too many who struggle at ground level in.our forward half.

Jack Lukosius on the market this year, another KPF too look at. Not necessarily the bulking KF like Waterman but an amazing kick and has a lot to like.

He's one player I've been interested in for a lot of this year. As a player, I'd welcome him to the Dees. He's not the big bodied traditional style KPF - but his ball use and shot on goal action is great. He's one of those players who doesn't necessarily do a lot, but does a lot right and can be very damaging from a scoring perspective off limited possessions.

My concern about him coming to us doesn't actually relate to him per se, it's more about whether he would be an effective player for us given our forward 50 entries.

He would improve our forward 50 entries as a roaming CHF. Worth a look dependant on the cost.

Agree with this and he's in a nice age bracket.

On a lighthearted note did anyone watch the boomers game against serbia the other night. There were 2 big targets from Serbia. I did comment at the time gee one could sit at ff and the other could ruck. They were huge.

On a serious note anyone that can use the ball well, kick straight and does not get injured.

Waterman would be a good target. He is a good mark and kicks goals and if he was with us at least he can't kick another bag agianst us like he did last time.

Probably why the majority of 200cm+ players in the AFL aren't athletic.... better to go play basketball and earn way more money!

Forget about Houston go for Lukosius. Port would let Houston go for a high draft pick in order to get Lukosius. Spare the middleman and go directly for Lukosius. He is a beautiful kick, plays at both ends and is much younger than Houston. He is a much better footballer than Jack Watts.

He plays both ends because he’s not good enough to hold down a spot at either. His goal kicking is great forward but his contest and work rate are poor, he’s a beautiful ball user at half back but refuses to defend.

He’s Watts with a better strength and conditioning program but the same lack of killer instinct.

Someone’s going to try to get it out of him and maybe as he matures he’ll deliver. It’s not a gamble I’d be wanting to take

Will Setterfield still out of contract

Would be a solid & cheap fringe/depth midfield option

Still only 26

Footywire has him out of contract end of 2026 but not a bad shout, can't see him playing for Freo again in a hurry

There was a time when Membrey played like Wayne Carey every time he lined up against the Dees.

Great bloke but on the decline as a footballer and has some baggage, i'd probably prefer us back in Turner, Jefferson and Van Rooyen.

We’ll lose Ben Brown and Schace from the list, Melksham future uncertain, we’ve got to have at least some sort of experience / depth in the forward line if one of the troops you mentioned go down, he’d be solid insurance, out of contract and just turned 30 so still a couple years left at least

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

A couple of intrepid Demonland Trackwatchers headed down to Gosch's Paddock for the midweek Preseason Training Session to bring you the following observations. Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
