Not mentioned, but "tough day to play forward for Vic Metro" and their key forward didn't do anything for 3 quarters is a good sign for Kalani.

Jack Ough from Rebels , a country lad now at Ballarat - boards at St.Patrick’s college which is a traditional breeding ground for AFL footballers 

194cms tall mid /  Good pace and inside game as well / not quite Bont but similar size 

only turns 18 in December 

got invite to Nationals combine so clubs are seriously interested 

Really jumping up recruiting lists

Seems to have done very well in football and schooling giving you have to assume his parents couldn't read or write.

Reminds me a bit of Blake Howes but a fraction taller 

Not sure he has the speed and elite disposal that we need but one to consider no doubt

I was there, it was more a full back role to be honest. Lining up on Vic M key forward. 
Moves like his old man, possesses a big leap. Reminded me of Darcy Moore. Spoiled a few contests, got lost a bit once or twice by his opponent. Was on and off the ground every quarter.

Yeah to be honest I'm not a fan of him playing down back. The vision i've seen him play he's looked okay and does tend to get lost.

I want to see him more as that forward ruck role that I saw back when he was playing in the under 15's championships up here in Lavington few years back.

His athletic ability and movement in the ruck and especially up forward reminded me a lot of Sam Darcy. 

Just my opinion, but I really do think he's wasted down back.

Could just be part of his development and they may look to move him forward next year to increase his profile.

1. Langford - I think the athleticism doubts are overblown and he's so good around stoppages and with a marking outside game and penetrating boot
2. O'Sullivan - pure class
3. Ashcroft 
4. Lalor - I'd go this high on him, just so explosive
5. Draper -good speed, hands and vision
6. Jagga - he's rock solid but a bit meh
 

Not a huge fan of Smillie and not sure where the talls fit in just yet.

Shows the importance of getting a good pick for Nibbler 

If we could get a Langford or Lalor with our first pick, and then a Xavier Lindsay, Christian Moraes or Tom Gross with what we get for Nibbler, we could do quite well for ourselves

I don't know if it's just his number 5, but O'Sullivan reminds me of a less explosive Trac, but still nimble with good vision and smarts. I agree, I'd definitely have Langford ahead of him.

I'd be happy with either Langford or Lalor. Wouldn't be disappointed with Draper either. If we could somehow nab two of these guys, particularly the first two, Lalor could play forward, and Langford at half back and in the mid rotation.

I want Houston as well, so we're likely to swallow our future first with a trade for him, but if we can use Nibbler and a future second for Houston, and trade our future first into this year's first round, getting Langford and Lalor would mean our midfield under 22 would be set for the next decade, with Rivers, McVee and Windsor.

It'd then just be about filling holes in that 25-27 list demo over the next 2-3 years.

I think Nibbler and a future second is wildly optimistic for Houston. Nibbler and a 2025 first sounds spot on.

Even if they allow trading 2026 picks I can’t see us getting back in to the first round with picks alone. It’s too far off for teams to want that pick, unless they’re a deep rebuild side somehow ending up with 15-20 and gambling that we’ll be awful. 

I suspect it will take another player to get in to the first round again, which may well happen. But wait and see on that.

I’m pretty confident that barring any off field concerns or injuries that Langford goes top 5. Lalor has a wide draft range that generally will be influenced by interviews and 2km time I think given the production just hasn’t been there for a variety of reasons.

O’Sullivan’s such a strange one. About as well rounded as a medium sized midfielder gets - run, speed, sharp skills, overhead marking, balance, kicks goals. Everything you’d want in a 182cm midfielder. Exactly the kind of midfielder we need to balance our midfield.

Comes in to the year the presumptive number 1 pick then just hasn’t had the year due to injury. But he reminds me a lot of a young Trent Cotchin and I wonder if the Tigers will ultimately think the same. If he just has 2 or 3 dominant Coates league games he’ll go back to pick 1, but if can’t put anything on tape he’s suddenly a bit theoretical.

I agree, it's more likely it'll take trading one of our players to get another pick in the top 10.

Hamish Davis would have similar endurance and power running capabilities to Nibbler. Some scoreboard impact and fairly new to midfield role. Moving up the board with the backend of his season 

Keep first and I think we get one of Draper, Reid, Lalor or Langford 

 

Can definitely see the resemblance to Cotchin with O’Sullivan @DeeSpencer. To all of the traits you’ve listed I’d add defensive running. His two way running is v good.
