St Kilda were too slow in their build up first half. Bit of speed on it and bam two goals.

I’m not watching.

St Kilda good if Port are bad "lose"

Regardless of result I still give RIchmond no chance of beating Port.

Bris dominated stats first half but innaccurate, Saints couldn't take advantage because Saints.

Saints now winning clearances and playing with more dare for 3 straight goals this quarter.

Brisvegas are always susceptible under REAL PRESSURE and they are also a Club i put in the Top Shelf of Hate.
They are nothing to do with Fitzroy.
If we Play them at The Gabba, so be it

We owe them a counterpunch

BANG!!

If not already noted, it just occurred to me that it was also the West Coast vs Adelaide game that cost us a finals spot by the slimmest of margins in 2017.

Hopefully that is not an omen for tonight.

If that is a goal then so should have been Petracca's.

And that's why the goal Ump should only say "it's gone though the goals please check if it was touched" And the review should be Yes/No or we cant be sure pay the goal.

Exactly, they can pay us what they owe us with a nice healthy defeat.

C'mon lions ffs.

What a boring, low skill game.

Why? Happy for the Saints to get up

Not touched but still more touched than ours two weeks ago.

Yep. Didn’t stop #35 with the mullet claiming to have touched it and getting the soft call.

Dent the Lions confidence, make them question themselves prior to finals. They’ve everything to play for and it would say a lot if they can’t get it done.

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.
