I wonder, in a full strength demon side, would both Petterd and Bartram make it? Or are they competing for the same spot?

I'd choose Ricky over Clint because Rick, to me, is a more creative and damaging player.

The way I see it is that Bartram is a 'run-with', negating type and Petterd is currently playing a rebounding defender with classy disposal, so I don't think they're competing with each other.

Bartram would be competing with players like Godfrey while Petterd is competing with guys like Ward, Wheatley, CJ and Brown.

i think there is a big case for picking your best 22. peterd showed he could play midfield, backline (on davies) or drift up forward for a bit. ultimately i think he will be a midfielder, maybe playing off a wing. bartram played most of the year either down back or as a tagger in the centre. they wont be competing for the same spot because of their game, but maybe because of numbers. bruce, green, tj, brock, godders, jones, pickett are all playing in the centre (rotated of course). perhaps to get both clint and ricky in someone needs to get dropped. they might be competing for the last spot, rather than for the same position.
