Is that a Parmi and Salad on your profile pic? Are they capers on the top left?

*H Petty - is he doing anything of note?

It's a section of my home made pizza and salad.

Only the staff on the field at the moment.

Glimpsing the red training tops,, as they meander to the truck and cover.

Music beats start up, they mingle with trainers and coaches, a few doing dinky passes, coaches separate., whistle blows and they gather.

Tracc is with them.

No sign of Petty.

Light duties, Tracc, Viney, Lever, Fritta, Hibbo, BBB. Joined the skill drills.

Rehab, TMac, Tomlinson, Spargo, they are in rehab tops and are wearing runners. They have joined in the skilss drills, taken by Williams.

Plenty of short kicking (look at the target then the ball, is Chocos advice). Plenty of goal kicking practice under supervision, then their out.

No sign of Harmes.

You're a legend. Thanks so much for doing these reports.

I'm wondering is it typical from what you've seen for JV to be on light duties during the week and especially at the beginning of the week. I am wondering if his foot is a permanent issue that they have to manage all the time. Mind you so far it sure isn't effecting his career best season.

Viney was mainly having a different warm up than the others, using resistance bands.

Thanks. I'm wondering if this is a permanent thing with him that he is being managed like this every week. Possibly to manage his long term foot injury.

Very worrying about Petty. Maybe he won't train much this week to help reduce the bruising?

Good to Trac is out there. If it was at all serious he surely wouldn't train.

How’s Trac looking out there?

Looked good, unhampered.

Is Joel Smith out there?

Looking as though he might be needed.

Training well, kicking goals, and working on his process.

Salem was very comfortable and appeared happy to be out there.

Two AFLW players got some training from Mark William's. Eliza West and another I didn't recognise.

Best in the business with the scoop yet again, thanks Kev!

With Sparrow out is any other player doing more midfield type work or they doing generic style training today and not position specific.

You’d think JJ will play a full game and Clarry and Trac will play more minutes than they have been to cover for him. Harmes would be another option but sounds like he wasn’t at training which doesn’t bode well.

Agree, I thought JJ in and Harmes to the sub, but they might throw Rivs in instead or a young kid from Casey as a sub. Sometimes in training you see someone in a different position. Would be good to know if that occurs.

Couldn't tell, more of a get the week started, then any form/plan type work.

Thought that might be the case but thanks for the reply.

Thanks Kev and all posters great that Tracc is unhampered and no other real injury woes but a bit concerning that Harmes was unsighted. Also how did Bowey look, lucky to be alive. Ha ha.!!

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
