Good player. Great hands. iffy set shot. He was dropped at the start of the year. Not sure whether due to form or attitude. not good either way. then got a bad injury.

I don't think he's quite what we want. I'm thinking another key to play alongside JVR. He plays more as the third which is Fritschs role now.

We simply need another youngster on top of JVR Jefferson and Fritta and for Petty to play a key position or forward pocket role. Georgiadies being a left footer strong mark good lead (and not an iffy kick IMO,  please give points scored with his 60 odd goals ). and contributes in a different way to Fritta and JVR. Also I believe MJ could early in his career take a flank with his skill plus mobility and cleverness. Kossie ANB Chin and Spargs/ Laurie  would all be in the forward mix.
Of course it's about team play but all players have enough skill to Play a role next season early or late.

I have maybe seen Georgiadis in 2 games so have never really noticed him if I'm honest, but if this is anything to go by, he's doing pretty well after 49 games?

After 49 games the following had:

Gunstan - 86 goals

Hipwood - 73 goals

Jamie Elliot - 66 goals

Georgiadis - 65 goals

Jack Reiwoldt - 62 goals

Charlie Curnow -  60 goals

Fritsch -  41 goals

Only 21 years old, effectively same amount of goals as Jamie Elliot, more goals than Reiwoldt, Curnow and Fritsch at the same time.

Seems to be more upsides than down?

fritsch's first season (or more) iirc he played in the backline or the wing.

anyone remember?

His left foot is developing nicely.

I don't see how his signing prevents him from being part of a trade. Sure Port have set his $ value and contract length but he can still be traded for Grundy

I guess we’ll just have to take Butters then

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
