Umm, they helped end our campaign last year.

I think we know enough about how we were going late last year to know that wasn't our best performance.

But even so, that's Brisbane's one finals win of merit in four years of finishing top 6 on the ladder.

Your right. We were going downhill fast and it's comforting to remember how many chances they missed. Tx

Crows have been off today but Hawks have brought the heat. Great win for them if they can hold out.

Dees officially out of the 8

No ladder that still has unplayed games in it means anything. Actually, scratch that. No April ladder means anything, unplayed games or not.

Hawthorn can beat Freo playing that way.

If that happens in Perth, Longmuir will be publicly lynched.

St Kilda have the highest player/terrible haircut ratio.

The only teams playing consistently high pressure AND high quality atm are Collingwood and Geelong. Watching every other game with finals contenders and no team really seems to ever be getting out of second gear. Maybe it's just me.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
