This team just doesn't handle slippery conditions well at the moment

I'd be handing some grippo out to pretty much everyone at half time...not enough clean touches

Poor half we have played our way for maybe 15 minutes… Essendon playing very well. This can turn fast, it starts with defence

Grundee KICK that forward.... tall guy ...cant bend.  Bowls over one of our boys in the process!

UNCONTESTED MARKS INSIDE 50

Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting.

Grundee you cant take that many bounces coming inside and NOT shoot for goal

By the time you look to give it off most players are covered

Might be a good athlete but lacks a few footy smarts im afraid

Everything coming off for them not our day

Tomo ughhh

The one team I do not want to lose to.

Someone tell these players that 2nd spot is up for grabs.

I'm angry today. We are better than this

Lachie Hunter’s avoidance of the contest is showing in a game where we don’t win the contested ball and feed it to him

  • CASEY: Coburg

The Casey Demons returned to their home ground which was once a graveyard for opposing teams but they managed to gift the four points on offer to Coburg with yet another of their trademark displays of inaccuracy in front of goals and some undisciplined football that earned the displeasure of the umpires late in the game. The home team was welcomed by a small crowd at Casey Fields and looked right at home as it dominated the first three quarters and led for all bar the last five minutes of the game. In the end, they came away with nothing, despite winning everywhere but on the scoreboard and the free kick count.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide

The Demons were wasteful early before putting the foot down early in the 2nd quarter but they chased tail for the remainder of the match. They could not get their first use of the footy after half time and when they did poor skills, execution and decision making let them down.
