nah mate, Box Hill v Collingwood

hoping for laurie to stake his claim as spargo's concussion replacement with precise delivery i50

really curious to see how the backline works with turner and adams as the key defensive pillars - they're very young and inexperienced

expecting harmes to be absolutely dominant and certain members of this board to rail against his inclusion vs the tigs

We need Laurie, Turner, Schache and Jefferson and perhaps Adams ripping this game apart, oh and the coach as Goodwin needs to bed dropped after yesterday.

Adams not ready yet but be careful what you wish for.

Look up on your phone DD

D/Lers are not TV reviewers.

AFL app and Chromecast = happy viewing.

I don't know why they scheduled Sydney at home.

You could have done VFL gather round this weekend in Melbourne.

What ?????  Wonder if one of our D/L self appointed luminaries ( not Andy he is fine) come down on you Deanox  for your extraordinary bizarre post.

I won't do it but let's wait and see?

Run out of babyoil this morning 58er ,why always so grumpy

Great to see Harmsey back today.  No rush to bring him back.  Let him find some form, fitness & confidence here for two to three weeks.

Mind you there's probably a spot there for him or Dunstan if they play a bit of a stand out as a plausible replacement for Sparrow.

Might be too early for Howes but who knows... Bowey would want to have a decent game against the Toiges if Howes keeps turning up in the next block of Casey matches.

Another game similar to last week from Laurie....surely a shoe in for Spargs

Here I am at windy Hill MK2. Blowing a gale and threatening clouds. I must be mad coming to this.

The replacements for James Jordon and Jake Melksham who played in Adelaide are Harvey Neocleous and Tom Sheridan.

The Bombers have scored the opening goal of the game 12 minutes into the first quarter.

Essendon 1.0.6 to Casey 0.2.2.

Looking a lot like yesterday's game. Defensive transition very poor.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.
