Got down to Gosch's for this morning's run.

Taj was being put through a fair bit of running. He also had a small amount of time kicking and marking.

Max ran more than 10 laps. At one stage, he tried a drill with direction changes, that didn't last long.

The rehab also had Farris-white, K.Turner, BBB, Lever and Hibbo in it.

Hibbo looks in trouble, probably his achilles. Left training after 20 minutes.

Lever appeared to have a right hip complaint. He joined the main group after they finished their running.

Schache was in full training, he also spent time after the session, marking the high ball.

No Harmes.

Kossie looked happy.

The session was mainly about stretching the legs and having some fun.

After some run throughs, they separated into 4 stations. Short kicking drill, with movement either left or right behind the mannequin after marking. A game of keep the soccer ball in the air. A handball game with a precision target to finish the action. The final one was competitive handball, finishing with a 40-meter pass to a leading forward.

That was it. A few stayed back, working on their goal kicking. Grundy, Petty, Tracc, Moniz-wakefield, Oliver and a couple of others who I can't recall.

Was Disco Turner training? He missed for Casey on Sunday.

Sad to see Hibbo struggling.

Unfortunately, that particular part of his body has always been his Achilles' heel.

Worrying about Lever, as he's been back to best finally. Hopefully just minor.

How did BB look to be moving?

Happy that Gawny is running. Not great about the change in direction stuff, but it is still early days.

When I did mine I wasn’t running a week later.

Lever's problem did look minor.

BBB in runners, moving without obvious restrictions, probably just his individual program, which he has been on for a while now.

Gawn looked a bit forlorned (I think he likes the company) running by himself at about 60% effort, but he was getting the kilometres done.

Kozzy happy cause he was in Tim Lamb’s office before training hopefully ✍️✍️

Seemed happy to be back into his regular routine and hanging out with AMW, and the rest of them. At one stage he was dancing around and shadow boxing the stations post, ala Tim Cahill (soccer world cup).

Poor bugger can’t take a trick.

Interesting seeing Petty doing goal kicking - maybe at least another week up forward / ruck.

Nobody likes to be in rehab I am sure. But good that he is getting the KMs into his legs and keeping his fitness up.

Any sign of Will Verrall?

He’s out for a long while. Could even be potentially in SA resting up. Not a lot he can do with his injury other than rest.

If Gawny could change direction, then one would think its more likely to be 2-3 weeks away, which is well ahead of expectation.

Mind you, Im not a physio so my opinion matters little.

I’m sure that what we saw on Sunday will be our forward setup for a while - 21 goals against a top team!! I don’t think they’ll change it in a hurry.

Such a bummer that one. Hope he's back sooner rather than later.

Ditto. We need him, we’re light on for rucks and we need him to be developing. Such bad luck for the young fella.

Is this fact or part of the "hope"? Whey else would he be in Lamb's office if it wasn't re: contract?

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
