Time to get on the phone and ring  membership if you are unhappy.

Not ONE D/L er can assist you  really no matter what you say. Good Luck from  Consecutive 58 year adult MFC member who can wait for the present.

You may be the club house leader 58er, 58 years - nice one.  As I said, I wasn't concerned or complaining nor expected anyone here to assist, merely like several others mentioning it hadn't yet arrived.  All that said, I checked the Aus Post tracking number and apparantley it's been sitting at the local PO since Friday 😂

Last time I lived in Melbourne - I was trident club. Hanging out at the Betty  Cuthbert Bar. Was good. Moved interstate (again) and went back to country/interstate member.

Moved back to Melbourne the start of this year - best I could get was Demon seats in the Shane Warne Stand. They're OK. But would much rather be back where I used to be :(

Membership team have me waitlisted...... bloody annoying 🙄  and unlikely to change I'd reckon after the rise in  Memberships now that we kinda good these days

Yeh, that's why I refuse to give up my Redlegs membership, because like Tridents, there's a waiting list.  I've been a Redlegs member since 1988 when I was 17.  Even with around 8 years living in the country I kept my Redlegs alive.

Bummer! Parcel from MFC was for my granddaughter who lives in Canberra.  Why it was sent to me I don't know as she gets special deal offers from the club when we play at Manuka, being a Canberra member, so they know!  Confusing. Don't worry 58er, I'll call the club tomorrow, I just didn't want to leave Demonlanders hanging 🤣

I have the past 25 years worth of membership cards in a shoe box in the bottom of my cupboard. I suspect I was a member before that but my dad's memory is no better than mine. Got the 25 printed on the card, but no pin that was supposed to come with my membership

Received mine today.  The presentation is so professional, and to me, this demonstrates the genuine high regard with which we members are now held by our great Club.  Well done to the current Board, CEO, Membership Department, and everyone else involved.

Just spoke to the club.  They told me my pack will be sent in the next two weeks. I expressed how upsetting it is that:

- despite the fact I renewed in late September, I was not in the first batch to get my pack

- last season, despite the fact I renewed both my AFL and AFLW memberships in October last year I didn't get my pack until March this year, and by the time I got it, they'd run out of the membership items for the AFLW and the season was just about over anyway.

- because I renewed my AFLW membership in October, I paid $99, even though by January the price was reduced to $60, and so I paid more and got less (I didn't even get stickers)

- when season 7 AFLW memberships were announced I paid $60 for my membership, but was then told 2 weeks later season 6 memberships would be automatically rolled over.

- Season 7 memberships were meant to come with stickers.  Guess what?  I got no bloody stickers.  Guess what else?  They've run out. So I paid $159 for two seasons of AFLW memberships, even though it was mean to be only $60, and I got nothing to show for it.  This is despite being a foundation AFLW member and season 8 silver player sponsor.

I'm a 38 year member of the club, 35 year member of Redlegs, I'm a member of the Demon Army, and Ruby Demons. Each year I pay close to $1000 for AFL and AFLW memberships for myself and my two nephews. I'm either the unluckiest member of the club, or the club genuinely hates me.....

Needless to say I have no confidence my pack is even going to come.

Hmm you seem to have a genuine case of continuing troubles KDF. I hope sounding off here helps you. I have to admit if I were you I would have seriously considered pulling the plug. Have a coffee, go for a walk and then write a letter, not an email they are too easily dismissed or lost, send it by registered post to the President explaining your problems and asking in light  of your loyal support over decades and problems for some compensation. The club is no longer in a begging bowl state due to people like you they can afford and should give you some compensation. Good luck and  go Dees

The rise in membership numbers is a two edged sword SB.

I had a similar experience a while back D4L.  It seems that records of memberships in the 1960s, 70s and 80s were a shambles, and I was only credited with continuous membership from the time that record keeping improved.

I'm quite proud of my unbroken years of membership, especially given our many years in the 'doldrums', so I wrote to the Club, and included copies of all the cards in my shoe box (like you, I suspect that some earlier cards were missing, but I was unable to verify this).

Bottom line:  I thought the Club handled it in a  professional way, and I've experienced no subsequent hiccups.  Hopefully it will be the same for you in future years!

Sadly for me I don’t have the old membership cards to prove my membership. My first membership was 1974, from then till now I have missed four years membership during the 80s and 90’s. No big deal that I have no proof I am happy with what  has been credited to me. I know I have been a member since 74 so that is all that matters. I wonder how many more I have to go?

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm

    DEFUSE THE BOMBERS by Meggs

Last Saturday’s crushing loss to Fremantle, after being three goals ahead at three quarter time, should be motivation enough to bounce back for this very winnable Round 5 clash at Windy Hill. A first-time venue for the Melbourne AFLW team, this should be a familiar suburban, windy, footy environment for the players.   Essendon were brave and competitive last week against ladder leader Adelaide at Sturt’s home ground. A familiar name, Maddison Gay, was the Bombers best player with

    BLOW THE SIREN by Meggs

Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    GETAWAY by Meggs

Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval. It promises to be keenly contested, though Fremantle is the bookies clear favourite.  If we lose, finals could be remoter than Rottnest Island especially following on from the Dees 50-point dismantlement by North Melbourne last Sunday.  There are 8 remaining matches, over the next 7 weeks.  To Meggs’

    DRUBBING by Meggs

With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    GARNER STRENGTH by Meggs

In keeping with our tough draw theme, Week 3 sees Melbourne take on flag favourites, North Melbourne, at Casey Fields this Sunday at 1:05pm.  The weather forecast looks dry, a coolish 14 degrees and will be characteristically gusty.  Remember when Casey Fields was considered our fortress?  The Demons have lost two of their past three matches at the Field of Dreams, so opposition teams commute down the Princes Highway with more optimism these days.  The Dees held the highe

    ALLY’S FIELDS by Meggs

It was a sunny morning at Casey Fields, as Demon supporters young and old formed a guard of honour for fan favourite and 50-gamer Alyssa Bannan.  Banno’s banner stated the speedster was the ‘fastest 50 games’ by an AFLW player ever.   For Dees supporters, today was not our day and unfortunately not for Banno either. A couple of opportunities emerged for our number 6 but alas there was no sizzle.   Brisbane atoned for last week’s record loss to North Melbourne, comprehensively out
