put on some Exile on Main St and try to enjoy the rest of our weekends.

Time to get our Rocks Off and Rip This Joint!

Best one-two punch opening tracks of any album I can think of.

Disagree. Pies ran over Bombers in last 10 minutes, with that extra days break. I think nearly every team with shorter break suffered the same thing. The fixed ture has really killed us late in the year. Even the two bottom sides we play twice are Pies and Dockers, while others got Eagles and Roos.

Yeah, maybe. I thought the bombers still had the legs but lacked the poise required to finish the job.

Bloody Collingwood getting out of jail again - appropriate as they need to get out to play, and many of the fans too.

But 13 wins, 4th place,  and a percentage of 106,2 lower than any of the top 10 other than St Kilda.

Quite bizarre.

I just hope someone does end the Pies streak, puts them out of the finals in elimination week and the bottom falls out from their list next year because this run papered over the cracks too much, everyone starts talking about this year like they did with us and 2018 and it absolutely crushes their existence to oblivion.

This filth success is doing my head in. It's worse than the Demons doing poorly.

Imagine if the GF is filth v puddy tatts!! I'm an MCC member and have been to every grand final (other than 2020/21 obviously) for about 15 years. If these teams play off, I wouldn't go.

Agree, I wouldn’t be watching that.

Just put a replay of 2021 GF on at the same time.

If they get a tough draw in 2023 with this list they won’t make the 8. All we need is Malthouse to pick them for the flag to seal the deal.

I just want their chances to die and be a very cheap funeral.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
