Supreme_Demon 4,136 Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 Here is a classic Melbourne Demons patch from the 1980s. I actually have this! It's somewhere in my bedroom. Just need to find it! 🤔 1 1 1 Quote

tiers 2,883 Posted October 19, 2023 Posted October 19, 2023 Great score, great scoreboard. Notice how many shots at goal require only 6 or so steps for the run in and no 30 second time delays. No mouthguards in groins, no flipping of the ball, no high fives and fist pumps for a goal. Who says today's footy is better? Sadly there is no going back. 3 Quote

Whispering_Jack 31,365 Posted April 4, 2024 Author Posted April 4, 2024 After last night’s big game in Adelaide there could be no better vision from the vault than Andrew Leoncelli’s match winner against the Crows ~ 7 Quote

The irony was that Goodwin kicked the goal before Leoncelli's to put Crows in front, but the Dees had other ideas. Quote

Schwartz ignored Neale's instruction and won us the game. 1 2 Quote

I was at a lunch with some female colleagues. Andrew was at another table. I introduced myself to Andrew and said I was a Demons supporter. He put his arm around me and said "you poor man". I then told him that I had told my colleagues that he had kicked the winning goal with 5 seconds to spare some years before. Without further ado, he walked over to my table, pulled out his phone and showed my colleagues a clip of the winning goal. Hilarious!! Top bloke. Edited May 29, 2024 by Winners at last 2 3 2 Quote

Demonstone 23,553 Posted July 11, 2024 Posted July 11, 2024 Just watched that and have some observations: 1. Our forward line was dysfunctional with the ball just being bombed in. 2. Robert Flower wasn't playing or was off injured. 3. The commentators actually called the game without all the BS. 4. The MCG had a few patches with no grass, particularly the centre square. 5. Sean Wight was a champion. 6. I was expecting a last-minute win to the Demons. I'm retrospectively shattered. 2 2 Quote
