I played a season with his brother Damien, ripping bloke like his brother and Adem has played a few T20 games against my cricket club with his son and even sign a team sheet addressed to me calling me a See you next tuesday! With a wink!

Damien yze was a fair player wasn't he?

A forward who often kicked big bags if goals?

Had the pleasure of watching Damien play footy for Ardmona one day. On this day he kicked 13 goals.

He is a country footy legend and is well known to kick kick over 100 goals wherever he goes.

A lot of local people you speak to in Shepparton will say Damien was the better footballer then Adem.

Yeah he was an absolute gun. I once watched him hold the ball inside play while running around a goal post at Lillydale swapping hands as he came back into play and then snapping it over his shoulder for a goal.

He was also a quick bowler and very very hand top order batsman.

I listened in last night, that was a great interview Demonland Adem answered as candidly as possible and seemed to enjoy the interview he is articulate but humble. I hope that he stays with us for as long as possible. He is doing a great job up in the Box and our midfield group have continued to improve under his guidance. Adem is one of my all time favourites as is The Wiz and Neita. Top interview.!!!

Kicked bags full of goals for Northcote Park in the DVFL. He must have changed clubs a bit.

Brilliant work Andy, George & Bin.  Loved the thoughtful and candid responses from Ooze!

Great work guys. Asked nearly all the questions I wanted answered.

Well done guys, that was a terrific interview.

Questions were bang on the money, so kudos to all involved.

Interviews like this are so much better than many in the mainstream media because the questions benefit the audience rather than benefit ratings or push a particular narrative.

Terrific pods (both) again this week, boys. The perfect, goldilocks amount of nostalgic love for Adem Yze, and insightful, ‘to the heart of things’ questions.

p.s. thanks @binman for the plug for my Premiership 2021 Triptych prints.
pps - wasn’t meaning to school you on the injury info issue, just start the convo. As such, your idea of combining short-medium-long term injury type with current ‘training status’ is surely a winner!

  • PREVIEW: Collingwood

Way back in March we contemplated the possibility of a Demon resurgence after Simon Goodwin’s summer of love. Many issues at the club had seemingly been addressed, key players were returning from injury and a brand new day was about to dawn. We imagined the coach pulling a rabbit out of a hat. The team would roar up the charts, push aside every opponent and make its way to a Grand Final ending in ultimate triumph with Goody and Max holding the premiership cup aloft under a shower of red and blue ticker tape.

  • AFLW REPORT: Western Bulldogs

We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commanding 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. After a hard-fought first half in slippery conditions, the Dees came out in the second half and showcased their trademark superior class, piling on four goals in the third termand never looked back.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
