Respect your opinion, but you don't have all the information around the current situation.

Happy to respect/trust the person/team that does have most of the information.

Different personnel doesn't mean new game plan, in fact, I would argue it means quite the opposite.

Clearly we haven't executed the game plan well for most of the year, but it's safe to assume we haven't changed much about it since last year. So what parts of our premiership winning game plan do you suggest we change?

Last year we had players running in 2-3โ€™s

We had forwards making their own space

hasnโ€™t happened this year so far

So this year they implemented a change to the game plan to tell forwards to crowd together and everyone to run by themselves?

Now reported out 3-5 weeks. No surgery required. To wear a moon boot for a week. Weโ€™ll see.

No I donโ€™t.
But 3 weeks to lose EXACTLY the same way each time. That is enough evidence to tell me there is a problem.ย
How big that problem is, we will all find out soon enough.

We used to thrive in the 3rd Quarter

Now that has dried up completely.

Why? and how to fix itโ€ฆ..ย

What if the people who do have the information, have confidence that the problem wont be a problem for too much longer?ย

Problem solving / creative thinking doesn't appear to be a strength on the old demonland.ย

And you think what you are seeing / thinking is more valuable/important than the people who have the information you don't?

Well then there wonโ€™t be a problem, but until that happens it will be discussed on a discussion boardย

Losing 2 in a row can be explainedย

Losing 3 is a trend

ย

Not at all. 3 losses in a row is what i am seeing. Bad losses, where we completely dry up in the 2nd half. I donโ€™t think that is planned inside the Club

Do you think we planned to lose in front of Neale?

i sure hope notย

Come on mate, you're better than that.

The players aren't executing, there's a mountain of discussion about why, but the problem isn't the game plan. If you believe that the coaches got together and said 'next year we're not going to pressure, we're going to clump our forwards, and we're going to turn it over as much as possible' then I think you need to reconsider your "I canย  only go on what I am seeing" philosophy.

happy to discuss. But am just struggling listening to someone asking for changes (that don't actually make any sense) when their basis is on a lack of information vs the people employed to make the changes (who do have most of the information)

Clearly the club didn't plan to loose 3 in a row. But with a bit of luck (less mid game injuries etc) we would have won 1 maybe 2 of the 3 (and be either 12-1 or 11-2), at the same time as setting ourselves up to be peaking at the pointy end of the year.ย

Just struggle to see why it is so difficult for people to comprehend what is going on at the moment.ย

We donโ€™t score after halftime. That is now a fact, until it is rectified.ย
players have stopped being creativeย

Why? ย 3 weeks exactly the same scenarioย

Something is not working, unless itโ€™s training loads, we are in a bit of strife with both Max and TMac unavailable for weeks

We led all 3 games comfortably and then stopped, that has nothing to do with luck.
Once momentum shifted we had no answer 3 times

Exactly. One of the most dominant second half teams for 10 rounds (who went 10-0), suddenly has very little run/effort/pressure 3 weeks in a row to defend sizeable leads??ย  ย  Does anything more actually need to be spelled out??ย  ย  ย And if that is not simple enough to work out, have a look at what the premiership winning team did around this time last year??ย

That's me tapping out. Will be back in a month or so, to watch the "detractors" come crawling back.ย

The METHOD of the losses is concerning. If it is training loads and only that, it isnโ€™t anything to worry about.ย
But i think it goes a little deeper than that.ย
Time will tell

Why are we bothering to play the games if we're just going to lose anyway due to loading? รŒts complete crap.

nearly won 1 maybe 2 out of the 3 :- and the sacrifice means we be peaking at the pointy end of the season.ย

What is so difficult to comprehend??

You donโ€™t win flags without planning/training to be peaking at the right time of the yearย

There something going on with Daw that we do not know about. He has missed a number games this year including last Saturday with no reason given. And does not appear on the injury list. I doubt we will see him in the seniors against the Lions.

Why was Daw not playing for Casey? I am not sure he is available.

The majority of people on here rabbiting on about loading don't even know what it is, yet alone have any actual (i.e., factual) evidence that we're doing it.

In the post-match interview on Monday, ANB scoffed at the idea that our current losses might have something to do with fitness. i'm with ANB.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isnโ€™t a standard conceptโ€”itโ€™s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking. ย We filled our boots with percentage โ€” now a whopping 520.7% โ€” and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourneโ€™s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasnโ€™t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's ย six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his teamโ€™s unfulfilled potential rang true โ€ฆ well, almost.ย
