Completely unrelated. Don't see a huge amount of soft tissue injuries as you would expect if it were BB related.

Agreed.

Two soft tissue injuries. One of which is no doubt related to weight.

The 3 knee injuries are just bad luck. Thankfully none appear to be long-term, season-ending stuff.

Davey's ankle has been suspect since he hurt it at pre-season training.

Frawley is in his first year and obviously pushed his body too much too quickly.

The only question mark I have over Bodhan, is whether he has any influence over the way we're rotating our midfielders.

We're doing it far too often IMO, and it's hurting our midfield rhythm.

Agree brfe. You can't attribute people dislocating, breaking and otherwise damaging bones to the new fitness coach. If it was soft tissue injuries then yes, he would probably have a case to answer.

And of the three whose damage is muscle related, one only has soreness because he is overweight and unfit.

how can u blame BB for bartram, neitz, robbo and frawley for there injurys? they were done on the footy field while playing not at training or any other place.. BB is not to blame for

interesting you should say that because in the age today there were stats on interchanges made per quarter and we were much lower than hawthorn...maybe thats because we had less players on the bench than them with injuries...

i think you should have your best players on most of the time, and they should come off when they need too...but its not going to happen like that...

I personally don't think it is his problem directly, but I honestly think, and I always have, that the Demons low quality training facilities (as compared to most other clubs) is the cause of the continuous soft tissue injuries we are plagued by.

I don't see why, 10 minutes into a quarter, our entire midfield gets rotated.

What happpened to starting each quarter with your best players at the bounce of the ball, and letting them run for 20 minutes?

Maybe I notice it more because I sit near the bench now and all I ever see is player A coming on, player B coming off, then player A coming on again 5 minutes later.

How is anyone supposed to get a feel for the footy, especially at the crucial centre bounces, when they are constantly running on and off the ground?

Also, was his hamstring soreness the reason Rivers kept coming off the ground yesterday? He never spends time on the bench usually.

I think it was his lack of conditioning due to interrupted pre-season, coupled with Franklin running him into the ground. Franklin's speed and endurance are phenomenal for someone so big.

We've won both of our last quarters this year and clearly showed we have a bigger fitness base than both St Kilda and Hawthorn resepectively. So BB is not to blame for our poor start or shocking run with non-soft tissue injuries. Its our confidence,skill level and coaching that has let us down and leaves us at 0-2.

out of interest we said earlier that we had a lack of soft tissue injuries but now we have

rivers (hamstring) and sylvia (quad) weetra (hamstring) pickett (unfit but hamstring) maloney (calf soreness on monday)

i will keep a close watch on this...

Agree totally unrelated.

Now, to those who agree that the knees and 'impact injuries' are just bad luck, and I cannot see that they are anything else - how many of you still say that luke Molan was a dud and a bad bit of CAC recruiting???

His horror spate of injuries were all "inpact injuries".

We jsut never got the opportunity to see if he was any good or not. Nobody's fault.

im not blaming anyone, and i doubt it is the fitness guys fault, as i am sure that there are the proper people working on core strength etc to keep the injuries in check, but it is interesting to note, especially after the problems at hawthorn...
