I would be careful - we have been told we can share PF barcodes, but as I understand it, GFG are not transferrable.  I would wait until we get the email from the club (should we win) that outlines how this will work, and if transfer is allowed.

I was told by the Club they will be transferrable but agree it should be clear in the email on Sunday.

I’d like to suggest a moratorium on new members joining this site until after the grand final is done and dusted. It’s getting too hard to sort the wheat from the chaff!

Pretty simple to see who has been around for a while and who hasn’t. Just check their profile. It has the joined date.

I am going to wait to see if the Club will transfer the GFG over to next year before I commit to allowing someone in WA/SA/NT to use my ticket. Also we don't know if the Club will continue the current policy of allowing members to transfer codes. We don't know how the AFL is going to treat interstate teams in terms of seats allocated. There are too many unknowns at the moment.

I rang the club today and they didn't seem to have any issues with using a connected bar code to a GFG for handing over to a WA connection.  Although they did emphasise it would be preferable to hand it to a family member / relative / friend vs a random.  Probably due to the scalping possibilities.

Yes, I’m doing that already, but I can only see it getting worse and I really don’t want to have to check every single poster I’m not familiar with.

Yes i agree with this.  I don't have an issue handing over bar codes for regulars or known longer term W.A. members on here who might be asking but how do we know the new guys aren't scalpers/opportunists?

This year I paid extra on top of my membership for the grand final guarantee option to purchase a ticket. Obviously being a Victorian I won't be able to attend if it's in Perth.

Does anyone know if I'd still be able to purchase a ticket if the game is in Perth so then I can give it to my mate who lives in WA so they can go?

I would have thought this was possible yeah. You can forward tickets purchased through Tickemaster so I'm assuming once you secured the ticket, you can just send to their email and then he/she just needs to accept it.

I bought a ticket for the prelim for myself and my gf via my membership, and also three general public tix for my folks and brother, which I forwarded onto them.

Fair call but gotta try anything for a once in a lifetime event. It will never be in Perth again. I'm footy mad and backing the Dees big time. Like I said I'm happy to send a box of beers to anyone who willing to give up barcodes. Im only chasing two tickets (not sure how many you can access per barcode)

Or just hangers on that will take better seats of Perth GFG paid ups (for many years) like me…be careful. Nothing worse than giving up a MFC seat to a west coast booer

Hi everyone,

Lucky enough to be living in WA for the GF, and while I am a long suffering Dockers member. I would love to go to the GF and support the Demons, which I will be doing for sure against Geelong tomorrow night. If anyone has membership they sadly cant use, would love to take my wife to the GF, as she gets out of hotel quarantine the day before having returned from the US. If it helps my case, my Dad played many years for Perth Demons back in the 60s.

Thanks

Geoff

A box of beers for a code that I believe is likely to only be available to someone who has paid the $229 for a Grand Final Guarantee (correct me if I’m wrong)? In the words of Sylvester the Cat, “It is to laff!!”.

Well I don’t think there’s going to be 12000 members in WA or SA or even the NT combined that have a GFG membership hardtack.
Bit I know I do and I’m relying on that to not only get me a seat but a bloody good one at that! All these vultures coming on the forum circling for a barcode is pissing me off. I don’t want to be competing with them when the Ticketmaster starters gun fires ‘should we make it’.
The Prelim is a different story with ticketing but the GF is deserving of those that have paid many years of GFG membership - not to have it potentially diluted by others with no emotional attachment to the club.

I say stick it to anyone who isn’t known to any member of this forum.

Jog on.

As I’ve said for week, I’m happy to pass my GFG barcode along if the club says we can. But if you haven’t been posting here for a long time and can’t prove to me you are in Perth and a tragic Melbourne fan, and ideally a member already who doesn’t have a GFG, then you can frankly [censored] right off.
We need to make sure the true fans and members get first dibs over new comers who have booed us at Optus Stadium for years.

Just joined today. i have been a reader of this forum for nearly 10 years, and i was going to join this week so i could pass on my GFG to some long suffering WA MFC supporter, but after reading this thread, there is no way.

I managed to find a bloke who had a 12 year old kid who is a Dee's fan, so I passed  on my PF barcode to him, but in reality I have no way of knowing whether he is legit.

I have found a a true WA Dee from contacts at work, and he will be the lucky recipient if we make it.

I get why other supporters are here trying to score a ticket, but seriously, offering a box of beer is an insult.

I don't want polite support at finals games, I want rabid, one eyed and hysterical cheering!

How does it work either way, if they use your Bar code I assume the ticket is emailed to them.

Doesn't give a lot of time for payment to clear before ticket goes on sale (if worried about suspicious behavior)

I think those with GFG who are willing to pass on their codes should try to get them to West Aussie Dees interstate members first. We are the ones that have paid membership and madly support the club over the years not the “pop up Dees fans” who are really Wce or Freo. Would be easy to get proof to provide a photo of memberships.

Would Suck if ppl like myself n my wife missed out on tickets if none were available in priority 3 n wce/Freo members were ahead of any west Aussie Dees members who would be screaming the house down.

Fair point you have, I still think no members will have any issues however as 12,000 allocated is a lot. To be fair however the forum does say ticket barcode thread hence why people like myself and others are reaching out to see for those who are not using the barcodes and wishing to help give others a chance at those 12,000 because for the 10,000 general admission is going to be picked up by bots and scalpers.

I totally agree with the sentiment that go find a demons fan over here in WA first, I'm not here telling you I deserve it over them as I don't, but if there are people out there that can't find anyone before Monday there are a lot of mad afl footy fans that will be privileged with the chance to go, you'd be helping someone out plus locking in people like me and the others on this thread in as demons fans on the day. In saying that they are giving out demon scarves at optus tonight before the game for free first in best dressed. That's how you make sure you have the fans on your side for a big game and hopefully then a grand final.

    BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin
