Well the Dees are doing one thing well. No whinging about fixture changes Inspite of the large financial losses. We are  just get on with it. We are now living in an era never seen in modern times. The likes of Scott make me anger.

The only thing that would make Scott happy would be all 22 H&A matches + finals in Geelong. The guy cannot help himself.

Reckon we should start complaining about the free ride the doggies get from the umps. We were shafted at the weekend.

The free ride from the umpires for the dogs has been happening for many, many years, complaining about it is not going to make any difference.

Spot on the dogs know what they can do and use it. We are too nice in this area and play by the rules. Our coaching leaves a bit to be desired on this area. I don't believe it cost us the game just made the dogs score a a goal or two higher.

Not sure the coaches can do anything about it, it is up to the umpires to apply the rules evenly to both sides at all times.

From ABC Website:

Gutwein on the AFL: Mask up, buttercups!

Yeah, look, he didn't phrase it in that exact way, but he did say that masks would be mandatory at this weekend's AFL matches.

The North Melbourne vs Geelong AFL match at Blundstone arena on Saturday will proceed, as will the Hawthorn vs Brisbane Lions at UTAS Stadium on Sunday.

Mr Gutwein said the "onus is on the fans" to bring their own mask for use at the game.

Up to 10,000 seated spectators will be allowed at each match.

With Brisbane going to Tassie presumably because they can't get back into Qld without quarantine means we won't be playing in Qld either.  Anybody's guess where we will end up.  1st pref is Vic but could NT open the doors in time...really hope not.

ItsaHawks scheduled home game really nothing to do with Lions .going home to quarantine.

No he would complain 4 games a year are played in the wet and the dome of death home teams have an advantage.

Serious question why?

So that we don't have to fly to Queensland and then fly again to WA?

So that we can avoid playing against an opposition's home crowd?

So that we can play at Marvel, where we're we've won 8 of our last 10?

Plenty of reasons to think about, at least if you haven't already given up on the season.

Yes forgot about the trip to WA. Do the sun's have a home crowd of any size? I have to say I have no idea. MY view on where the game is played relates to one thing. If there are no crowds allowed  I don't care where the game is played. I would rather the sun's supporters see a live game than have it in Melbourne in front of no one. If that puts us at a disadvantage so be it.

What about their cheer squad singing "Nah-nah-nah-nah Nah-nah-nah-nah hey-hey Goodbye" when they defeated Richmond recently that was GOLD.

Game may be in the NT after all! NT revoking restrictions from midnight tonight!

You couldn't script that luck.

As mentioned before I expect our CEO to have negotiated for Melbourne to receive half the proceeds if this game is in Darwin, due to:

a) Losing our contract for the Alice Springs game in June.

b) Being the bunnies that have to cop a Darwin game whilst we're in a critical phase of our season.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
