Pies v Cats: unwatchable.

Lions v Giants: training drill

Saints v Roos: is this AFL or VFL?

Lockdown means time to watch footy and the footy is putrid.

There’s still hope! Suns vs. Hawks tonight. 15 vs. 17 but could be an absolute bottler!!!

The pies are going to get the best player in the draft anyways in Daicos through father son. They would have to pay for him through points anyways so made sense for them to trade their future first last year rather than using it to pay for Daicos this year.  But its fantastic for GWS getting what will be a top 5 pick. They must be rapt watching the pies flounder.

Maybe they can use it to trade for a 30+ yr old ruckman on his last legs.

And we’ve got Stkilda and North to look forward to! Electrifying sports entertainment.

Can't bear watching those plodders and I've already watched our replay twice. Thank [censored] Caddyshack is on Foxtel...

Collingwood has once again ruined everything. Well done. Fl0gs.

Brisbane are the best form side in the competition. To me they are a better more balanced side than the Dogs. Massive challenge to beat them.

I lay on the couch and started to watch the fith and girlong, It put me to sleep until about 1/2 an hour ago and I awoke to a complete mess called north and saints.

Today's football has been an absolute dross fest and the GC - Hawthorn game hasn't even started yet. Dearie me.

So there was a contest in the third quarter of the Brisbane game where Harris Andrews appeared to ping his shoulder and then grabbed at it.

I couldn't be bothered watching the last quarter, but I take it he was alright in the end?

I reckon last night's game to the neutral eye would have been a bit of a borefest too.

Sounds like my family’s idea of hanging the scarf out of the car window and doing 5km loops around my house all day was much better than the football action today.

Noticed that Essendon were allowed into WA.

That's a big change from last year

Will be hard barracking for the Bombers but I will try

No immanent WA election... all good.

Didn't see any injuries for the Lions. Zorko was a little proppy with a knee as well but played it out.

They won well but didn't impress me that much.

Hadn't thought about it that way AF. For that I will hold the opposition responsible.

Anyone else having problems with kayo?

The nerve of the AFL to schedule such rubbish Saturday night matches while we are in lockdown. Rude.

Kayo and Foxtel Go not working.

Thanks Clint as long as it's not my end. Glad it didn't happen last night.

Channel seven, and they just showed a new Cash Converters ad. featuring our Tracc! You know your team is doing well when one of your stars features in an ad. One day he might even hit the big time and make it into an aami ad. ?

  • PREVIEW: Hawthorn

Hawthorn and Melbourne. Two teams with impressive form from last week but with seasons that are travelling on different trajectories meet in Saturday’s twilight game for what could well be the most intriguing contest of the AFL’s penultimate round. Sadly, the game has been relegated to that unappealing time slot in the weekend when Melburnians are typically preoccupied with activities other than football. It falls between the morning's shopping, afternoon sport and recreation, and Saturday night fever. A time usually reserved for relatively insignificant events but this one is not a nothingburger for either of the clubs or their fans.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
