TICKETING: Rd 10 vs Adelaide

don't think there will be too many Adelaide supporters attending but a lot of the seating is presold.

Not sure if Adelaide members can transfer their seat for the day but if so there would be no problem.

There will also be an allocation for the competing club which I doubt in this environment will be too full.

Good luck if you go along... it's a magical ground

It's one of 2 remaining main stadiums that I need to tick off the list.

I’ve booked flights and will do accom tonight, the bloke I’m going with is a Crow gold member (he gets a stupid gold hat and scarf and all, which he threw into the bin after we beat them in Adelaide last time) and his last message to me was:

“So GA tickets on sale Wednesday, I can buy from Tuesday as a member but only 1 ticket.
A best option could be get you a 3 game membership which we go halves in ($50 each) and then we can purchase tickets together on Tuesday and not risk missing out.”

I really don’t want to buy an Adelaide membership!

Oh and it’s an awesome stadium! The old man took me when I was maybe 17 to see Aust vs West Indies and I went again to the Dees game in ‘18, beautiful place to watch sport. The hill is just awesome.

We're also trying to get tickets. Asked the MFC for some assistance as part of our player sponsorship, but they don't have any details as fresh as this morning.

Just spoke to a staff member at Adelaide Oval, and she didn't even have any ticketing info available. Encouraged us to get onto the Ticketek website at 11.30am AEST on Tuesday 18 May to see what we can get.

The Ticketek website doesn't seem to indicate there is a member preference period, but I can see up the thread that this seems to be the case?

I definitely won't be doing that. ?

Complete overrreaction from CARDS 13 and yourself about buying crows membership.

From Cards13  advice it's going to cost him only $50 ( remember he is probably spending $500 to go to Adelaide already) going  halves with his Crow  supporter friend who has use of the ticket for another 2 games!!

You are not really buying a Crows membership you are using a down payment of $50 on that for entry and seating as well. ( Presumably  that's correct)

Any seat in that stadium is fine ( have been in the Bradman  Stand for Test cricket and for $50 you tick off another venue you watched the Might Dees win at.

Demon land yes your entry is not as smooth and more costly but it does tick off a box off your stadiums list !!

And the ignominy of purchasing a Crows ticket.!!!

Crows  are down to about 28/30,000 crowd although many seats are reserved and presold. Which reduces the choice somewhat.

Please Enjoy  both of you and I have a feeling this game is one we are going to be tuned in for as a warm up prep for the Bulldogs  game.

Before Covid I preferred the Recipricol rights MCC ticket entry for $40 at the G and let my friend who uses my ticket at  the G for another family member and stood in the Outer in the Great Southern  Stand half forward flank near where Tommy  kicked his boundary goal yesterday. ( Otherwise known to Pies fans as the Dom Sheed pocket!!).

The atmosphere in the MCC members now this year almost has  me looking to do that on QB when I come from interstate for that "blockbuster" Even though I have the $0 ticket option and a seat at the G!

Go Dees

Tickets are always filthy expensive to crows games.  It is a supply vs demand issue.  Most of the seats are reserved seat for their members.  Port matches are always cheaper ( but more feral ) :.)

More feral that the Crows ? That takes some believing.

Does anyone know the deal for Dees members getting a ticket to the game in Adelaide? Nothing on the club site or ticketek.

I was going over and tried to find out 2 weeks ago so I could make bookings

The word was that there are so few seats available almost impossible to snare  one

Interesting article in Domainfax about how all the difficulties around ticketing and the Kayo offer/Kayo in general is keeping people away.

As an interstate member I looked at the Carlton game, followed the instructions in the email to a letter and wasn't able to get a ticket.

I'd have thought you want to make it as easy as possible. Of course, ticketmaster's horrible system doesn't help.

strange the Age article didn't mention the continued closure of level 4 at the MCG

TBH I doubt the AFL is concerened about crowds at all this year. It's all about maintaining revenues (memberships) and covering stadium costs.

That's a great pity given our good year is unlikely to deliver the immediate revenue hot to the club that such a performance would usually deliver.

Anyone know what time General Admin can get tickets through Ticketek?

11:30am was the time that Adelaide Members could get tickets. My barcode didn't work (obviously) but I could not select any bays to get General Admin so does anybody know when and/or if tickets are available to the public?

Poor form that there is nothing from the Dees in regards to this. I tried getting the information from the club but no one knew anything.

and they wonder why attendances are down?

This is what comes from reducing club staff and outsourcing your ticketing.

I suppose we should be thnakful that we're not paying the usual admin and ticket printing charge !!

Midday tomorrow apparently... ffs it is ridiculous, travelling members should get access at the same time!

    GETAWAY by Meggs

Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval. It promises to be keenly contested, though Fremantle is the bookies clear favourite.  If we lose, finals could be remoter than Rottnest Island especially following on from the Dees 50-point dismantlement by North Melbourne last Sunday.  There are 8 remaining matches, over the next 7 weeks.  To Meggs’

    DRUBBING by Meggs

With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    GARNER STRENGTH by Meggs

In keeping with our tough draw theme, Week 3 sees Melbourne take on flag favourites, North Melbourne, at Casey Fields this Sunday at 1:05pm.  The weather forecast looks dry, a coolish 14 degrees and will be characteristically gusty.  Remember when Casey Fields was considered our fortress?  The Demons have lost two of their past three matches at the Field of Dreams, so opposition teams commute down the Princes Highway with more optimism these days.  The Dees held the highe

    ALLY’S FIELDS by Meggs

It was a sunny morning at Casey Fields, as Demon supporters young and old formed a guard of honour for fan favourite and 50-gamer Alyssa Bannan.  Banno’s banner stated the speedster was the ‘fastest 50 games’ by an AFLW player ever.   For Dees supporters, today was not our day and unfortunately not for Banno either. A couple of opportunities emerged for our number 6 but alas there was no sizzle.   Brisbane atoned for last week’s record loss to North Melbourne, comprehensively out

    GOOD MORNING by Meggs

If you are driving or training it to Cranbourne on Saturday, don’t forget to set your alarm clock. The Melbourne Demons play the reigning premiers Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields this Saturday, with the bounce of the ball at 11:05am.  Yes, that’s AM.   The AFLW fixture shows deference to the AFL men’s finals games.  So, for the men it’s good afternoon and good evening and for the women it’s good morning.     The Lions were wounded last week by 44 points, their highest ever los

    HORE ON FIRE by Meggs

The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals. They brought tremendous forward half pressure, and our newly renovated defensive unit looked shaky.

    REMATCH by Meggs

The Mighty Demons take on the confident Cats this Saturday night at the recently completed $319 million redeveloped GMHBA Stadium, with the bounce of the ball at 7:15pm. Our last game of 2023 was an agonisingly close 5-point semi-final loss to Geelong, and we look forward to Melbourne turning the tables this week. Practice match form was scratchy for both teams with the Demons losing practice matches to Carlton and Port Adelaide, while the Cats beat Collingwood but then lost to Essendo

    WELCOME 2024 by Meggs

It’s been hard to miss the seismic global momentum happening in Women’s sport of late. The Matildas have been playing to record sell-out crowds across Australia and ‘Mary Fowler is God’ is chalked onto footpaths everywhere. WNBA basketball rookie sensation Caitlin Clark has almost single-handedly elevated her Indiana Fever team to unprecedented viewership, attendances and playoffs in the USA.   Our female Aussie Paris 2024 Olympians won 13 out of Australia’s all-time record 18 gol

    EPILOGUE by Whispering Jack

I sit huddled in near darkness, the only light coming through flickering embers in a damp fireplace, the room in total silence after the thunderstorm died. I wonder if they bothered to restart the game.  No point really. It was over before it started. The team’s five star generals in defence and midfield ruled out of the fray, a few others missing in action against superior enemy firepower and too few left to fly the flag for the field marshal defiantly leading his outnumbered army int
