This is good.

Still waiting on the following to resume back to normal:

Top level of Southern Stand to re-open for all games.

Walk ups available for AFL membership, MCC and public.

Kids let in for free on Sundays.

Kids able to sit with parents on Sunday games in AFL members reserve at the MCG - free of charge

Hot pies/chips and cold beers rather than the other way around (although I concede this one is probably too hard to achieve)

The good news keep on coming today.

Thank god sanity has prevailed and we no longer have to deal with Ticketek to get a ticket to sit 3 rows behind our normal seat

Only the AFL could come up with a system that lets people sit in their own seats that is more complicated than the system to book tickets each week.

A seven step process that can only be done two days before the game? How pathetic.

I was quite enjoying being 7 rows closer to the bar in N53. At least we have our aisle seats back I guess. Swings and roundabouts.

I like how the inane ticketek system has been replaced by a short 18 step process to be undertaken 2 days prior to a game while upside wearing green pants between the hours of 2:46 and 3:14pm.
Love how the AFL is keeping it simple ?

If we have reserved seats does our normal membership ticket get us into the game or is there more silly nonsense going on with ticketec.

you use the mfc app on your mobile

mfc will download a ticket to app which i presume will display a barcode for entry

what could go wrong ?

Can one person register for other people using the app or does each member have to do it themselves? Ive been getting tickets for family members so far and they  have little hope of doing it themselves.

Premium members can return to their reserved seats from Round 9 vs Carlton.

So long N49. You will be missed.

I hope they stop the limit capacity on the bars too.. My god that is painful! Especially when you get a beer have a chat and then need to leave the bar to take a leak and can't get back in!

I don't understand the difficulty in using ticketek. It was taken me 5 minutes tops each time.

It's been quite painless for me and I've been getting infinitely better seating than my regular seats but I do understand that it might be difficult for others who are not as savvy whether it be the tech variety or just in understanding how it works generally.

I purchase tickets for family members and it has been seemless. I guarantee that if any of the people I am purchasing tickets for were to attempt it we would be watching the game at the junction oval if at all.

I only had issues for the Richmond game. My annoyance was paying for awesome seats I’ve picked but not being able to use them and getting allocated all sorts of rubbish I don’t pay for.

Fair enough then! I've only used my membership ticket barcode.

Can you only get into a game with a phone? What about downloading it onto an iPad? Or a printed copy of the ticket?

If she has her own phone she can download the MFC app and login as yourself, that should work also.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
