Sorry, all i was after was a contact point for any MFC members who collect footy cards

  • Demonland changed the title to Do You Collect Footy Cards?

Ive got a bunch from when I was a kid in the late 80s-mid 90s including complete sets and insert cards (got Garry Lyon & Stephen Tingay AA cards, Barassi Legends card etc)

The last 5-10 years I usually buy a couple of packs a year of the premium sets from card zone near the Vic market. The best card I managed to get was a Dayne Beams (Lions) redemption card that has a piece of his guernsey and his signature they seem to go for about $300 on ebay.

My kids now buy them but don't really "collect" them like I did as a kid - they don't care about completing sets or anything.

I've been collecting Melbourne cards since the mid 1980s. Nothing ultra top end, but plenty of signature cards and the like. I find them a good souvenir of each season and of my favourite players.

sporadically, when i'm feeling it ill buy some

Got a full set of 1963 Ampol footy cards - Dad glued them into album for me
