CASEY: Rd 02 vs Richmond

Rosman looks very raw on the limited time I've seen him. Will take time. Bowey didn't seem to get near it that quarter as well but seems to be running hard just not being used.

Reckon both boys just need time to settle into the team and feel like they belong at the level before progressing.

Sling tackle to DSmith he is alright though

Love the intensity around the ball. Daw/Badtke giving the mids an armchair ride from the ruck contests, and Weid and Brown are real targets up forward. Bradtke is showing huge improvement since l last saw him play last year. He and Daw would beat most ruck combinations in the AFL. Daws palming is on a par with Max and that’s saying something.

Really good signs we have such a strong 2’s side. Very exciting. We now have the cattle to blow most sides away.

Bedford bad 1st qtr, Petty playing with poise.

The dominant storyline coming out of Round One for Saturday Night’s clash at Optus Stadium centres on the influence of the big men. The spotlight naturally falls on two elite ruckmen who, five years ago, shared the stage in Melbourne’s memorable premiership triumph.
