I am reliably advised that St Kilda's Brad Hill and Brad Crouch have broken the AFL record for most disposals by players called Brad for a team in an individual game - they both had 26 disposals last weekend combining for 52 in total. This breaks the previous record of 50 held by our Brad Green (32) and Brad Miller (18) in round 13 2004.

As additional useless information, the record by two players with the same name is held by Collingwood's Tony Shaw (50) and Tony Francis (30) who combined for 80 disposals in round 5 1991. And, St Kilda holds the record for most disposals by one first name for a team in the same game with 151 held by six Jacks in Rd 16 2017 being Billings (19), Lonie (18), Newnes (25), Sinclair (28), Steele (28) and Steven (33).

I don't know about you, but this is the essential content I come to Demonland for.

You'd think we might have a few shots at most disposals by two players named Christian

Poor Gryan Miers won't get to compete in this stat

Christian Petracca 36 + Christian Salem 23 = 59 last weekend.

We would surely own that record already.  Even in the most recent game they had 59 combined.

Michael Christian picked up a stat too when he fined Jetts.

On the contrary, he'll be the leader of every stat possible for people called Gryan. Probably forever.

For a club like ours, that seems incongruent who we are.?
I'd be more content if we had set the record for most possessions by two players called Damien.?

In the 1980s vs Collingwood we had Lyon opposed to Christian with the result the same as in Roman times.

With a combined 77 possessions, our two Christian's got very close to the record of 80 held by two players with the same first name.

What's the record for more than one Christian winning the Brownlow in any given year?

Dunno. No Pagans have won it. Plenty of heathens have.

This could be the year for the Christians to set a new personal best.

Christians in devils clothing.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
