Just now, whatwhat say what said:

i think it's fair to say that clayton is gonna have the o'connor tag next sunday

he's been terrific on neale and titchell in consecutive weeks

Will we be smart enough to do something about it this time?

Anyone else watching 360? Robbo been on the cans in the green room surely?

The bloke is nigh on unintelligible. I always give him a couple of sentences to see if he'll somehow make sense, but find myself hitting the mute button shortly thereafter.

Thanks for that, that’s a big drop so early.

Yeah I got on under 40pts for 2.70 which is still available. I like how the media and betting companies are slow to get on the Demons. It’s been a good few weeks!

Those commentators are morons. Hartigan gave Hawkins a clip over the head after he (Hawkins) marked the ball. Brayshaw laughed about it saying "Spud would be looking down and smiling" or words to that effect.

That whole hitting over the head thing (or similar) led to Frawley's demise.

Clueless. He obviously attended the Triplechins school of tact.

Seeing the constant crosses to Kennett almost made me do a little sick in my mouth. Vile man.

We did something about it this week.

Our mids were trying to block de Boer at stoppages.

Mustn't have been a hard tag on Mitchell as often he was nowhere near him...

If they put a hard tag on Oliver it just leaves Trac & Viney free and I would back them in against the Cats mids particularly with Danger still out and an ageing Selwood.

[censored], you would have to start scrolling the record books for the first 4-0 start in MFC history.

I'd say somewhere in the 50's or 60's

I know 94 we won the first 5 games of the year and lost to pies in game 6 (also the game where Jack did his back and that was it for him at the Dee's)

I thought Geelong looked pretty ordinary. Had Hawthorn had a real constant threat up forward and a bit of forward pressure, Geelong would have lost it.

If we're on our game next week and Geelong play like they did today, I think we'll beat them.

I think Mitchell only had one touch to quarter time. He had 24 overall which was -14 on his season average to date of 38.

Yep, I think they might have relaxed the tag...he seemed to be out on his own a bit after the first Q...the only time I noticed O'Connor with him then was at the stoppages.

    HIGHLIGHTS/LOWLIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Melbourne traveled across the continent to take on the Fremantle Dockers in sweltering conditions at Mandurah south of Perth in a game that delivered the club both its highlight and its lowlight in the first minute.  But first, let’s start by doing away with the usual cliches used in connection with the game. It was just a practice match and the result didn’t matter. Bad kicking is bad football. The game was played in severe heat, the swirly breeze played havoc with both teams resulting in

A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers headed down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you their observations from today's training session before the Demons head off to Perth for their final Practice Match. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Beautiful morning, not much wind, more than a couple of dozen spectators.  The players were up and about, boisterous and having fun. One of their last drills were three teams competing in a hard at it, handball game in a small area. Goody

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
