Not sure - Hawks have no decent defenders of note anyway..  Let Max follow McElvoy around if he goes down back to support them.

Then again, a miracle might happen and Melksham steps up...

Some miracles are easier than others.

I'm having this same thing happen to me. Have tried calling the last two days and can't get through. Emailed twice asking for a call-back and heard nothing.

I tried signing up online, but I want to pay in a single payment. The online sign-up forces you into 6 'easypay' instalments. Pretty annoyed.

Same issue here.  I'm guessing staff cutbacks due to COVID are the problem.

Same experience for me .

Today it was 25 minutes before I hung up.

"Due to high demand we are unable to take your call at the moment" is all very well but since there is high demand logically they would employ more people to answer the phones. How else do other clubs get such high membership tallies?

I wanted to join up my 3 grandchildren.

Because they have more automatic roll overs.

Try an email to membership.

Just cos this is the membership thread,

Anyone know our current 2021 membership total? Surely after a 4-0 start we should be going ok, and we had over 40k before round 1 didn't we?

43421 as of 5 minutes ago. Because of covid  restrictions to personal at the club and difficulty in going to games I think that is probably a good number.

Yes, and that's before renewing my daughter's just then as her 12th birthday present; 13-year member!

Some call it indoctrination, I call it 'leaving nothing to chance'.

And yet Carlton have 80K despite doing nothing since 2013.

They have always had more. They have won a number of flags since 1964 while we plodded along in the bottom half of the ladder.

Not possible on the website either.

Have tried both the landline number and the 1300 number.

I guess they don't read Demonland to reach out to their members.

We obviously don't need you Flag!!!!!!!!!!!

My optimism is still strong:  6/0 or 5/1 after the tigers game.  Then who knows.

Your prediction is looking better every day LH. And a minor miracle happened with milkshake, who knows the future!

The level of membership is getting near the point where they don't need me any longer. 50k and a good results year in 2021 and I will be faced with a big decision.

this makes no sense.

Once a club gets over 50k membership the benefits of being a member get out weighted by the inability to use them. With regular membership over 60k the need for my money is no longer important.

Dunno if you're familiar with the MFC od but we are still a pretty threadbare organisation competing against behemoths like West Coast who keep $60m in the bank for a rainy day.

2024 Player Reviews: #35 Harry Petty

Failed to fulfill the promise of his breakout six goal effort against the Tigers in 2023 and was generally disappointing as a key forward. It remains to be seen whether Simon Goodwin will persevere with him in attack or return him to the backline where he was an important cog in the club’s 2021 premiership success. 2024 Player Reviews: #22 Blake Howes

After a bright start to the season, playing mostly in defence, Howes seemed to lose his way in midseason but fought back with some good performances at Casey and finished the year back at AFL level. One to watch in 2024. Date of Birth: 7 March 2003 Height: 191cm Games MFC 2024: 15 Career Total:  15 Goals MFC 2024: 0 Career Total:  0 Games CDFC 2024: 6 Goals CDFC 2024: 0

2024 Player Reviews: #33 Tom Fullarton

Originally an NBL basketballer with the Brisbane Bullets, he moved across town in 2019 to the AFL Lions where he played 19 games before crossing to Melbourne where he was expected to fill a role as a back up ruckman/key forward. Unfortunately, didn’t quite get there although he did finish equal sixth in Casey’s best and fairest award. Date of Birth: 23 February 1999 Height: 198cm Games CDFC: 14 Goals CDFL: 13

2024 Player Reviews: #10 Angus Brayshaw

Sadly, had to wrap up a great career in midstream on the back of multiple concussions which culminated in the Maynard hit in the 2023 Qualifying Final. His loss to the club was inestimable over and above his on field talent given his character and leadership qualities, all of which have been sorely missed. The son of former Demon Brownlow Medalist Shane, Taj added a further 16 games to his overall tally of games but a number were as substitute. He is slowly fitting into the team structure but without doing anything spectacular and needs to take further steps forward in 2025 for his career to progress. SLIP SLIDING AWAY by Meggs

It was a sweaty, slippery night at Cazalys Stadium, a tough slog with low scoring and missed opportunities.  The Hokball Hawks hung on to win by a goal and sit second on the ladder, relegating the disappointed Demons to, almost certainly, finals spectators.   We had to win this match. When news broke of late withdrawals of talisman Kate Hore and key back Gaby Colvin, expectations plummeted, and Demon fans despaired.  The bad news was the signature song of 2024, a season that’s
