Does anyone know if it will be 5 minutes per pick? Trying to work out how long this draft might drag on for.

Is there any danger about getting the show on the road?

Need to bang on about Essington for another 10 minutes first.

Patience...they're still sorting out the Treloar deal.

Nothing offered re a delay as there isn't one.

They have a script to finish.  Sounds like they never intended to start at 7.00!!

They probably think they are creating suspense.  Reality - downright boring.

No excuse for Adelaide not to click in no. 1 within 3 seconds. They know before they get there who their no. 1 is.

I hope they show the club drafting team during their five minutes rather than force us to watch these talking heads with their banal rehash talk.

I'm watching on the AFL website.  Please don't tell me it is being broadcast on Zoom or some other platform.

And the dogs know if they are matching or not. Rubbish.

How many picks are done tonight?

Round 1?

The whole draft, they estimate about 55-60 kids

Seriously, we should be onto pick 3 already ??‍♂️

They might be but drip feeding the results thru the website broadcast.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
