apparently is happy with Brisbane's recent offer. Again, Carlton and North are the two clubs that have shown interest.

We would be absolute crazy to at least enquire.

Do you mean we would be absolutely crazy to at least not enquire?

I wouldn't even consider it tbh. I LOVE him, but the amount he would require financially is much more needed elsewhere currently, not to mention the trade currency needed that I wouldn't think we would have.

My shopping list would be: 1. Jezza Cameron (followed by Casboult then Daniher pending acceptance)

Just like Jezza and Daniher. They too will command big money.

And yes I did mean that lol

having now read the article, presuming you mean <insert emoticon for recycling cardboard boxes>

Holy chit if this bloke is available then get him! He would dominate in our chitful forward line.

The blue print was to be challenging for flags in 2020, would he help us do  that moving forward?

If we had anything left cap wise after chasing a gun key forward I would then put the house on Charlie, but for me, 100% key forward first.

small forwards are the new key forwards

I would go after Daniel Talia,  if I wanted quick effect, and had dollars.

But, that would put too many players in our older age bracket.

So I hope we draft a mobile key back.  193 - 194cms, quick agile and skilled.

we don't need another 29 year old key defender

Isn't Talia more a defender? Haven't followed him, super closely tbh.

Yes he is. An old fashion lock down defender.

Bizarre suggestion by MFM to be bluntly honest.

Key back? What?

Yes,  I agree. He is.  But the type of player is what we lack.

I wouldn't sacrifice for the quick effect,  'wwsw'.

Yes, actually in under 18's he was a winger, in the match at the Dome.

To me he was the standout from those I saw that year u18's...  but only saw him in one game.

Can he play forward, interesting.

I was trying to make the point that our defence still needs another gun tall,  so that Lever plays 3rd tall or small.   But Talia is too old for our defensive mix.

He and May would finish at the same time which isn't good.

Although May can play forward as well.?

Didn't Polec leave Brisbane to go home to SA? Money talks

We've got young forwards, and older,  but we have nothing in the pipeline Re tall backs.   Once may is done, were stoofed.  If Lever gets hurt, were stoofed.

It's CHB we need mostly from the draft this year.

But I would go after Fogarty hard,  as a trade hopeful.   He reminds me of a bigger Glenn Archer, a key position Archer.  Brick walls beware.

And he could hit the midfield as well, imo.

I would chase him till the cows come home.  Small POWER forward.   193cm  94Kgs  21Yr  old.

And he would compliment a 200+ cm big forward.

Ffs I would love a thread that isn't just clogged up with mess by the same certain individual every single time.

Started a Charlie Cameron thread, turns into how we need a Daniel Talia in our side.. because you know he's the missing link to our success....

Story by Tom Brown...not Mr. Reliable 'dazz'.

I wonder what Brown's average is this year? Just about everything he's thrown up has been thrown out.

I would expect Cameron will be well looked after by Brisbane.

They would be mad to let him go but if he wanted to move I'm sure we would welcome him with open arms.

I can't see Cameron leaving unless it's for crazy money, and I can't see us affording to pay him crazy money whilst offering an attractive team to join.

We've got a very expensive midfield and a lot of cash locked up in two tall defenders. And no first round pick.

I'd imagine we're looking around the key forward market but otherwise we'd be shipping out a lot of players and turning over the list dramatically to bring Cameron in. Worth a phone call and to find out what Brisbane are offering, but if North and Carlton are already involved then I'd imagine it's at the silly money level already.

Could very well be just the standard player manager ploy we see about this time every year to ensure a fat contract...

Getting back to Charlie Cameron, I wouldn't trust the reason anybody puts forward publicly for leaving Adelaide. He may well have wanted a trade "home" to Brisbane, but looking at the [censored] show that is Adelaide, and the way they hung Lever out to dry, you're always going to float a reason that is least likely to rile those in Adelaide when you're at the departure lounge. So I wouldn't automatcally assume he's not gettable.

That said, I'd rather we put the money into a KPF however.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
