Yeah, total anarchy by vested interest groups that have nothing to do with what happened to George Floyd. You can protest without violence, looting, arson and whatever else.

https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/twitter-fake-antifa-acount-white-supremacists-removal/

And now you have fake antifa accounts promoting violence linked to European white supremacists. And Putin's puppet Trump shouting about antifa as terrorists. And even this week Trump trying to Get Russia back into the G7

Anyone with half a clue about geopolitics knows that all of the recent events this decade are part of Russia's "Foundations of Geopolitics" by Dugin used by Rus military. Just check the goals related to Ukraine, UK brexit, Europe, US all coming true

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foundations_of_Geopolitics#:~:text=Russia should "introduce geopolitical disorder, the U.S. It would also

the United States:

Russia should use its special services within the borders of the United States to fuel instability and separatism, for instance, provoke "Afro-American racists". Russia should "introduce geopolitical disorder into internal American activity, encouraging all kinds of separatism and ethnic, social and racial conflicts, actively supporting all dissident movements – extremist, racist, and sectarian groups, thus destabilizing internal political processes in the U.S. It would also make sense simultaneously to support isolationist tendencies in American politics".[9] ?‍♂️

And then a long us government history of infiltrating political orgs:

COINTELPRO (syllabic abbreviation derived from COunter INTELligence PROgram) (1956–1971) was a series of covert and illegal[1][2] projects conducted by the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) aimed at surveilling, infiltrating, discrediting, and disrupting American political organizations.[3][4] FBI records show that COINTELPRO resources targeted groups and individuals that the FBI deemed subversive,[5] including feminist organizations,[6] the Communist Party USA,[7] anti–Vietnam War organizers, activists of the civil rights movement or Black Power movement (e.g. Martin Luther King Jr., the Nation of Islam, and the Black Panther Party), environmentalist and animal rights organizations, the American Indian Movement (AIM), independence movements (such as Puerto Rican independence groups like the Young Lords), and a variety of organizations that were part of the broader New Left. The program also targeted the Ku Klux Klan in 1964.[8]

The FBI has used covert operations against domestic political groups since its inception; however, covert operations under the official COINTELPRO label took place between 1956 and 1971.

[12] COINTELPRO tactics are still used to this day and have been alleged to include discrediting targets through psychological warfare; smearing individuals and groups using forged documents and by planting false reports in the media; harassment; wrongful imprisonment; and illegal violence, including assassination.[13][14][15][16] The FBI's stated motivation was "protecting national security, preventing violence, and maintaining the existing social and political order".[17]

These people ARE,  fighting for their lives.

How many do you imagine...  have taken their own lives,  due to racisms, over the years.?

oh, really....i didn't know that

i guess that then justifies looting, arson, violence, property destruction and breaking epidemic lockdown rules

there are obviously no other ways of making a meaningful protest

i apologise for being duped and naive

Antifa isn't even an org, but a loose umbrella term for a multitude of left wing groups all with diff extremeties and aims, but all gathered around being anti fascist. For trump to want to declare "anti fascist" left wing groups terrorists and like tweets such as 'the only good democrat is a dead democrst" should raise some concerns over the looming spectre of fascism in the US

But the point @drysdale demon is that there definitely are vested interests that want to incite violence and crush movements.

geez,  talk about assumptions dc.

tell me how many have looted,  how many have been violent, dc?  And how many police have been violent dc?   what about the police assaulting the journo's, dc.?  shooting at them and firing tear gas bombs at them.?

So I take it you think,  that they all deserve what they get,  in racism and police brutality, every day;  because they are black skinned, and so must be from the dark side.? DC.

And I suppose there is NO chance that Trumps team had anything to do with the small fire in the back of the church,  across the road from the "White House".?

Which, the very next day, Trump had his security team tear-gas the nearby people,  so they could clear a path to that very church,  just for a live TV photo Op.

Electioneering at his worst.

This is much much more than just a protest... to the people...dc.   its obvious.  And i feel it as well.   Even from over here.

You see;  the PC type people only see the things that scare them,  in these passionate protests...  And fail to see the real issues. That the people are severely hurt from.

How do you feel, dc,   when a Black Person is killed at the hands of the police forces in the US.?

Seems you care more for goods, property, material items,  Over peoples welfare.  Black people's welfare.

# Black lives matter.!

It would be good if it was just a protest, but I would not call what is happening a protest more like anarchy fueled by groups with other agendas.

Like the peaceful sign that read yesterday in Sydney " A good cop is a dead cop "

It was just a protest, but like the yellow vests in France, it has been hijacked by many others with different agendas and I would suggest that there is  likelihood that a number of those are extreme right wing as well as left wing. This is hardly the fault of the BLM movement.

General Mattis has a good take on this.

For the Trumpet supporters, they could do with listening to the good general and many other thinking conservatives (not democrats or left wingers) who can see the damage being done by this President.

The sensationalist headlines unfortunately don't look deep into the issues.

Trouble is we will get caught up in it, we are not immune.

General James Mattis was one of Donald Trump's most high-profile appointments. Mattis resigned as Trump's secretary of defence in December of 2018, but has largely kept quiet about his former boss … until today.

Mattis has issued a pretty extraordinary statement just now, saying Mr Trump makes a "mockery of the Constitution":
"Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people—does not even pretend to try. Instead he tries to divide us. We are witnessing the consequences of three years of this deliberate effort. We are witnessing the consequences of three years without mature leadership. We can unite without him, drawing on the strengths inherent in our civil society," Mr Mattis said in a statement to the Atlantic Magazine.
Mr Mattis said he was "angry and appalled" by what he had watched this week, and threw his support behind those at peaceful protests:

It is a wholesome and unifying demand—one that all of us should be able to get behind. We must not be distracted by a small number of lawbreakers. The protests are defined by tens of thousands of people of conscience who are insisting that we live up to our values—our values as people and our values as a nation.

When I joined the military, some 50 years ago, I swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution. Never did I dream that troops taking that same oath would be ordered under any circumstance to violate the Constitutional rights of their fellow citizens—much less to provide a bizarre photo op for the elected commander-in-chief, with military leadership standing alongside.
