I certianly wouldn't be flying down to tassie for round 23.

Would be a better place than Melbourne to spend the month of September

To suggest we are tanking is ludicrous, I believe Goody refers to it as ‘strategically losing’.

The erroneous supposition is he understands  strategy !! Just saying ;)

@monoccular  no not a  barrister...but i make a good coffee ;)

I would have said no re tanking until 6:30 last night, now I'm not sure. We are truly awful, but there is no accounting for those selections.

Shortest Selection Stats. Melbourne have selected one of the shortest sides ever to contest an AFL game in recent times. They have named their three shortest players in Charlie Spargo , Jay Kennedy-Harris and newcomer Kyle Chandler all 173cm on the bench - believed to be the first time a club has ever named its three shortest players there. The average height of the Melbourne team is just 184.8cm.

We are not tanking, we are legit the most useless utter side in the competition.

We are effectively fielding a team of dwarves.

Who ever would have thought that O Mac being dropped would bring with it calls that we are tanking?  On Demonland of all places!!

Other than Preuss (and I can't really understand why he wasn't picked to back up Max) who do we have available other than that bench.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

    Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

    Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
