A few Carlton mates have gone bonkers. They are truly cheering for Essendon tonight simply for the pick swap deal. Madness!

Would love it if the Hawks rolled the Cats and just keep rolling on Brissy. What luxury the Lions have, they win by 8 goals at Port and can afford to omit 3 players for 3 very good ones.

Bruce is a flo.g.  Apparently Essendon have the biggest injury list of most important players in the league.  Savaloy on the soft palette, I reckon.

Some very big games this weekend for shaping the 4 and the eight.

Absolute #^&* that ours isn't one of them.

I see they are talking of Caleb Daniels as possible AA so there is hope for Spartacus yet.

Since when did Essendrug and The Camry Crows have Similar jumpers

What a pathetic Joke

Hocking’s call again was it???

Bruce is often wrong....

I just turned it on - I agree, what rubbish, though I suppose there will be some $$$$ in it for the AFL so that is the most important thing, isn't it?  Too bad it looks more confusing to us ordinary spectators hat the Druggies' normal jumper.

Always happy to see EssUndon undone, but OMG that "protected zone" rule is just a travesty.

Yet another triumph from Shocking and Dill.

Exactly. I think it irks me more, because that is truly a rubbish looking jumper that Essendrug have hastily designed. It looks awful

Sheesh, I saw about 4 kicks that travelled a total distance of 7 metres and the marks were paid before Jenkins’ 4th.

I have no issue with the druggos being forced to wear their away jumper. Should be more of it.

Christ Adelaide do not lose this. We do not want to see essenscum win

But looks like they got an extra dose of “good stuff”.

Don Pyke silent staredown coming up. Hopeless Crows. Their midfielders can get the ball but some of them have the turning circle of the Titanic.

Edited by Dee Zephyr

When is heat going to be on pyke? This team made the gf 2 years ago. They were up a depleted essendon and after 1/2 time have only kicked 3 goals to 10.

Thanks for wrecking Friday night footy Adelaide

Hate is a strong word and I don’t hate many things in life, but by god I hate the Essendon Football Club. No other club compares....and to think I used to think Richmond and Collingwood came close..

Adelaide - a choke of Normanic proportions.

Maybe Pikers as well as chokers?

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne
