Kk was always going to be a punt.  Need to get him confident of a return.  It’s now the danger time. One more concussion and I’d say it’s career over unfortunately.

no t smith again, cant see him being kept on the list ,never gets on the park.Shame,i am afan of his

Looking to see how #65 Liam Buxton-Wales goes this week.  Impressed me earlier in the year and I think could be rookie opportunity at end of the year.

Also will look out for bulldogs #56 Anthony Scott. Running wingman who played at Old Trinity and Richmond’s VFL team. Heard he is a goalkicking wingman who has realty shown this year in the Dogs VFL team.

Nice that we named Petracca as if it would trick them into thinking he'd line up in the VFL.

11 AFL Listed MFC Players only.

Dogs expected to win by at least 7 goals. Apart from Caleb Daniel (who is probably on the bench in their best 22), they have a fully fit squad!!! 19 AFL listed players. Amazing!!

Outside it’s wild and woolly. Inside a treat.

Relying on lots of contributions from posters because the game is at Metricon and its being televised.

Dogs have the only score - a point.

Only a matter of time before their speed ended up with a goal over the top. 7 - 1 - we have had more of play in our half but cannot get a shot on goal (including a air-y from Maynard in the goal square).

I'm liking the look of Jordon.

Very raw, but you can see as he starts to put on size and get an AFL body he could be a very good player.

Jordon knows where to position himself to find the ball.

His first Q is very similar to how he finished off tac cup last year.

Developing nicely...

Wow.. Oscar McDonald outmarked by a smaller half forward...

All the emergencies playing?

NO Forwards and a severe lack of leg speed on the outside. Being carved up on the rebound. Oscar Mac just got schooled by a VAFA player. Absolutely schooled. Delist

Jordan playing in the guts and starting to play well. Needs to lower the eyes a little more (or possibly people need to give him better options? Hard to know on TV). Has a good kick on the boy. Playing on Mitch Wallis apparently.

Baker does look too good for this level, but needs to be in the game a little more. His defensive efforts have been good in the first quarter. Got into the game as the quarter went on but his stats were padded with 3 touches in the back half in the last little bit of the quarter.

JKH doing what he does - in and under getting the ball. When he makes a mistake, he goes and fixes it.

Bedford once he puts on some more muscle will be a nice small forward.

C Wagner is not as dominant as he has been in the last few weeks.

Oscar is in frame but hasn't really done anything? He has lost one contest for the quarter (resulted in a behind), has disposed of the ball nicely. But he isn't playing last line of defence and that might also be an issue we need to fix up for Q2.

Our VFL defenders are really in trouble. If they get some space, our defenders are left miles behind. When we are going forward they tend to put it on the head of White. I'm not sure who has been getting the inside 50s - I'd say 50/50 for VFL/AFL listed. But lets face it, there arent a lot in the VFL who you'd want delivering to you as a key forward. You can see why Jordan, JKH, Wagners and Oscar have been our emergencies lately as there isn't a lot there.

  • PREGAME: St. Kilda

With just over two weeks until their opening match of the 2026 AFL Premiership season, the Demons are already well on the path to redemption and have the Saints firmly in their sights ahead of their mid-March clash at the MCG. What do you think the team will look like when they run out on to the G?

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.

  • REPORT: Richmond

Mars is not usually a place known for lighting strikes but on Friday evening it happened twice in the vicinity of the stadium in Ballarat that carries the name and is a half completed building site with limited capacity for spectators.

Kozzy Pickett was the man of the match last week and has a vote lead over backup ruck Max Heath who didn't play this week and 5 votes over former Saint Jack Steele. Who gets the votes in this weeks shortened match win over the Tigers? Your votes please. 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 & 1.
