After their horror start to the season, the Casey Demons find themselves on a three game winning streak and on the cusp of climbing into the top eight. This week they are up against another rival for a finals berth so needless to say, they can’t let up. With a few Melbourne listed players likely to return from injury, expect a strong team to take the field on Saturday -

I really feel for JKH - the senior inquiry list is horrendous, the forward pressure is zero AND he has been playing his heart out and playing well for Casey.  Is Goodwin blind or deluded?

Funnily it almost makes more sense that way.

The problem for JKH, and Stretch for that matter, is that they fall somewhere between AFL and VFL standard.

We could have Lever, Jetta, Lewis, OMac and J Wagner in the backline for Casey!

who would have thought we had such depth.... the senior team must be flying

Cant see stretch ever making it but wish he would, gets the ball ok but to slow thinking what do with it.JKH deserves a go can see him being rookie listed and do what jetta did ,come back and be a star.I think it is all about maturity confidence with him

Think I will head down and get completely flummoxed at the sight of Jetta and Lever in the backline.

Preuss playing or not will be a clear indicator of Max's status.  IMO I can't see why we'd risk Max, this is what we recruited Preuss for.  Or at least play both of them so the load on Max is reduced.  Mysterious business ...

At the very least Preuss has to be a carry-over emergency doesn't he? Surely you wouldn't give a player until the last minute to prove his fitness without some form of last minute security?

JKH gets the opening goal (no surprise either).

Casey Demons 1.1.7 to Northern Blues 0.0.0.

Only one Wagner playing. Josh, I think - so that means Corey Wagner joins Preuss as a hold over emergency.

And look who’s back!

Do we have a ruckman without Preuss?

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
