Lock May in for next week.

Hasn’t got through the game yet and pubs are open tonight and tomorrow.

Just being smashed around the ball and turnovers are killing any good work we do. Without May it could be seriously ugly. We are missing the Maynard’s, JKH, Sparrowe, Stretch.

You have to do more than tackle DD. if you are a forward the idea is to get the ball and hopefully score not to stop someone running off with the ball you should have had in the first place.

That why I mentioned he had more touches than the blokes he is competing with. And kicked a goal. Tackling is key to small fwd role so it’s obvious why he kept his spot this week. Having said that if there are fwds playing well in the twos and he doesn’t improve soon he probably will be dropped soon as the bar is pretty low at the moment

Very sharp Mr. Leg.

Weideman?? Any sense he will be a chance to return to form.

** Sorry apparently he and Jkh are travelling emergencies

New recruit Kyle Dunkley is having a quiet debut  - four possessions.

Yeah he is. Give him the year in Casey and see what he can do

Get him in.

Needs to adapt to the scientifically, complex Melbourne game plan systems.

Isn’t the whole point of mid season draft to find ready made players who can fill a specific need?  What’s the point of the draft if the player just continues playing in the same league as he was previously?

As I understand it the Midseason draft needs a lot of refinement. Teams have to be careful who they draft because of caps,  contracts and relocation fees make it an unattractive prospect. It may be why so many clubs passed.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
