No that’s what your hypersensitive soul took my comment mean.

I know you’re not racist. Just a little dull witted.

Lol. How is flying to Perth going to help his cause?

”Please accept pick 5 Belly. I’ve come all the way across the Nullarbor. It’s a long way to come mate. Pretty please?”

Pretty stressful time for Neale and Adams and he’s showing care because he’s a committed coach and a genuinely good bloke. I’m not surprised you didn’t understand that.

Lloyd has absolutely no idea.

Not a single thing he has gone with as 'fact' has eventuated so far this trade period

Let me get this straight ... you think he’s going there to give Neale a mancuddle and a ruffle through the hair?

Would say it’s more to ensure no one gets in his ear to stay at Freo when things get tough at the trade table. It’s keeping the Brisbane influence there in Perth

Yes, in fact I’m certain that’s the case. It’s not uncommon. Simon Goodwin has visited Kolo in the last week.

5 & 23 for Hogan could end up being a good deal if Mahoney weaves his magic. Crows are desperate to move up the draft order so we trade them to Crows for their 8 & 13. 8 is very fair for May & we still end up with 13, a first rounder.

5 = 1878 points

23 = 815

TL=  2693

8 = 1551

13 = 1212

TL= 2763.

 The difference is only 70 points which is what pick 67 is worth. So maybe some horse trading of late picks. Our 65 for their 73 which ironically they have from us as part of the Lever trade last year. Bet none of us knew that. That gets us giving them 10pts over. Good enough.

KK is weaved in to the pick 8 plus next year's 3rd rounder or whatever.

Then we use 13 in the draft or we get a ready made gun from somewhere that magically appears at the last moment which FD have been sitting on .

Alternatively Hogan stays we get May for nothing next year as a Free Agent and get a first rounder for Hogan and end up with more than if the deal was done this year. Although by then Hogan will be sniffing a Premiership and won't go and we'll get May as a FA. Win Win.

8 is only very fair for May if Suns concur.

Don’t know why people keep talking about pick 8. This won’t move until draft night.

If we have 5, and if Razkine drops to 5, then we may get the opportunity to then trade for pick 8/13.

I'm a novice when it comes to the points system, but would picks 23 and 30 equate to a top 20 pick?

And if we traded 5 for May and KK, would packaging 23, 30 and 36 get us a pick between 10-15?

Have to package to a club in need of points for matching bids on academy/fatherson picks.

23 = 815 points

30 = 629 points

36 = 502 points

Total 1976 points which is enough points to match a bid at 5 (without factoring in discounts)

Anyone figured out how much we might have to pay of JH's present contract?

Why would any club pay wages of an opposition player who they've essentially been outbid on?

MFC: Jesse we'll pay you $900k per year, please stay.

FFC: Jesse, come to us and we'll pay you $1 mil a year.

Jesse: Ok Freo I'm in, go and deal with my club.

FFC: MFC, can you please help us out by paying $200k a year for your player that we've offered more for?

It doesn't work like that.

Are you admitting you've had a previous account on Demonland? Were you banned, and is it actually allowed to return under a new name?

Herald Sun saying our stance re. Two first round picks has softened. Noooooooo

If we get 5 and 23, Adelaide will trade them both for 8 and 13, which gives us 2 first rounders.

The question is whether we do that and give GCS 8 for May, or whether we give them 5 and they make the trade with Adelaide.

If we send pick 5 to GCS I really hope we get something back (say 29).

That way it's effectively:

Hogan for May and 13; or

Hogan for May and 23 and 29 (pick 9 equivalent).

Yet you found it funny that the guess was wrong, not that it was funny Patches thought you were a reincarnate.

It's pretty clear to me, and I hope the mods are thoroughly looking into it.

Anyone who thinks multiple lower picks equal a High first rounder - remember the Greg Wells deal

Adelaide won’t trade up until the live drafting happens.

They would have 2 options

1. Trade for pick 5 now and hope player x is there

2. Wait until player x is there and then trade for pick 5.

Obviously option 2 makes more sense for them.

I don't know about Jesse as a backman. I mean we were doing fine until Lever went down. May would help our defense, sure, but Hogan is a much better forward than May is a defender. Don't know what to believe around the freo / Jesse trade. Unless he has a long term injury, they're complete fools. I do hope Jesse will sign an 8 year contract with us if he doesn't go to Freo. I think he's already broken a lot of Melbourne hearts by taking us by surprise with this. Needs to mend the wound if he's going to stay.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

    Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

    Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

    The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

    Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

    The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

    It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
