We needed a sight screen behind our forward line. We obviously couldn’t see Aliir all day

Worst disposal by a captain of the MFC. Nathan Jones hang your head in shame.

Had a few opportunities for career defining moments and he fluffed them. Sums up the side really.

We are mentally weak. Too many players go missing when the game gets tough. Unless Goodwin is kicking it for them can’t see how he’s to blame. Jones last quarter proves there is no excuse why he was weak as [censored] jogging between contests for the first three. Reset next week  and hopefully someone stands up and decides to take the game by the scruff of the neck.

Port Adelaide, the second Geelong game, and tonight. All games we 100% should have won but found a way to butcher it.

Each of them in different ways, but the bottom line is we have officially choked away top 4, and top 8 is looking 50/50 right now.

Goodwin must go! Hopeless loss!

I am gone. I will be sending membership back and am presently collecting all clothing etc to put in good Sammy bin. The homeless guy said he will report me for putting rubbish in the bin.

We lose two two games to the cats by a few points now they sneak into the 8 . Well done you bunch of clowns

What has changed for hunt’s run and dash to be only seen once in the biggest ground. This must be coaching but I don’t understand why he would be selected then.....

Don’t know why we are playing Spargo over Kent

Someone needs to tell that drop kick coach of ours Spargo should never be picked ahead of Kent. Cost us at least 3 goals with his selfish play.

No composure. Panic after panic.

Our culture has to grow out of the losing FEAR.

Composure is a must, in those ,little',,,  'critical',  moments.

Jones. So flaky in a game that mattered so much

Neal-Bullen can [censored] right off

Hunt inclusion was a failure

I feel sick

The lack of composure spreads thru the team.  Spargo did not start the lacking of composure.

It was evident thru most of the game.

Swans are an aging hack team who can't kick big scores to save themselves & we gift them 4 points with that [censored] goal kicking effort. Pathetic MFC.

not good enough under pressure, Yet.

Hunt is a dud. He got off the leash early in his career because no one paid him any attention.

I love Jones but he should drop himself.

Sad but correct. No speed and takes 2nd or 3 option then gets caught.

I cant see a serious future with him in the team. Started on the wing a lot also suggests goodwins thinking.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
