That's not evidence 'binman'...

The story or non story (mischief) was not that he had been moved down to the bench.

That's all a comm could have said and it would have been a waste of space and time.

True or not the story was Macca wasn't happy with the move.

What comm would you suggest they should have put out there?

Perhaps you'r right and it was my confirmation bias at work.

Morris also wrote that rubbish piece recently about Freo “chasing” Hoges and Brayshaw... he also wrote the piece about Goody offering his resignation after campgate and then “slept in” when Goody was on the Dees podcast the week after.

He seems like a typical journo..

Seems like a F#%@wit.

You said McCartney is never is the box. You changed your story when footage emerged of McCartney in the coaches box. It’s ok to be wrong, I don’t see the big deal. Take the hit and move on.

What I said was my understanding was McCartney's Matchday role was on the bench not in the box, so the fact that he was back on the bench was not a cause for immediately donnong the hair shirts

Yes, keep name calling other members.

Its really helping deflect from your constantly incorrect statements and the fact you have no clue about the club.

I find the news comforting to a point even though it speaks to a lack of on field leadership.

Tweak things, be dynamic, get them right.

It indicates a willingness to adjust and not stick stubbornly and proudly to something that isn't working.

His matchday role has been on the bench, they tried something different, it didn't work, so back to his normal role, no grassy knolls in sight for the nuff nuffs to cling to

The paranoia on display sometimes amuses me, mostly I think it is sheer stupidity

That covers quite a few posters on here, does it not?

I get called names all the time, from keyboard heroes, water off a ducks back, said it before, if you don't like the heat, stay out of the kitchen

The thread needed straightening up, constantly said on here that jounos are rubbish but they only have to dangle a carrot and of we go 5 or 6 pages of negative paranoia

It’s not really what you said. Anyway, I didn’t see this being an issue as he’s spent the last two years on the bench. I assumed he was assisting Chaplin for a set amount of time which was now over so he was returning to his previous game day role.

Tom Morris is just trying to stir the pot.

'We have looked at the game as an opportunity to improve all all aspects of how we go about things, including how we can better communicate key messages to our players when the opposition gets a run on. It is easy to forget how young our list is and we have two key leaders in TMac and Jack out so this week we are going to have Macca, who is definitely in no way disaffected and is really happy about the move and he and Goody get on better than ever and have a fantastic working relationship, you could even say a personal relationship, if you consider that time Macca went round to Goody's house for a BBQ, go back to his role that he played so brilliantly for the last 3 years as a key person communicating directly to players on the bench and conveying messages from the box. Which he is happy about.

Really and the nuff nuffs fell for it, as per the norm, I understood he was never in the box, after talking to him of course

Irrespective of who's who, that's a lot of people in the coach's box. I'm not sure if I was senior coach I'd want that many people all trying to advise me. If, however, half or even two-thirds of them are just there to watch and can keep their mouths shut, I could live with that.

Way too many people.

Being called out on your [censored] is the worst. It can be humiliating, frustrating, and hurtful. When it happens, the natural reaction is often to be dismissive, defensive, or to complain that the other party just "doesn't get it/you/jokes". I say, go with that feeling. Because if lots of people are telling you that you're dead wrong, you definitely don't want to stop and examine why that is.”

No mate, you didn't straighten it up, you dug yourself a massive hole and was proved utterly wrong. It's just a pity you're not man enough to admit your faults like we've all done here in the past.

Who the hell are you Mr perfect, saty always thought BM was still on the bench as he was the last 2 years, maybe he did not know he was in the box, and posted something without checking facts, you lot are acting like baby's do, stick to the story and not stop attacking saty, it is a non story. Stop being childish, leave it alone, or do you want everyone to attack everyone of your post.

The following is what he said, "Yes,  that is his Matchday role, he is never in the box, what a [censored] joke and the usual nuff nuffs on here  run with it".

Do you think there's a chance this wouldn't have become such an issue if he didn't refer to others, who were actually correct about McCartney being in the box, as "nuff nuffs" ?

Just maybe ?

If not, change your username.

The nuff nuffs was aimed at the usual paramoiac posters who turn everything into the 'sky is falling ', without knowing the full facts

I sometimes wonder why they call themselves 'supporters' when the only time they seem happy is when they have something to carp and whinge about

We are all supporters, some more than others, and we have all been thru the last 10 years and longer, but don't feel the need to continually whinge about it

Yeah sure why not? Why would they attack me but? For being a self centered [censored] like Saty?

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
