After 11 years of not making finals we are in transition phase and stil trying to work on our game plan? When is your plan for making finals, 2028?

And BTW it would be good to have players with legs and feet. Do you think before posting?

Yes exactly these days they always are. being tinkered with. How many players are left from 11 Yrs back. maybe 2 ?

we are a young side now with more talent in the casey team looking to the future and the AFL has changed enormously since 2007.

A quarter of two halves.

Now 7 goals to 6 in favor of the demons

A quarter of two eighths, I think you'll find...

A better performance by the Dees so far this quarter but not much impact on the scoreboard.

86 -66

Weidermann would want to perform, as Pedo has been really good. Took a ripping mark on the members side wing.

yeah, but then his kick i50 was terrible

weed is there to play forward / relief ruck - haven't seen pedo play in the ruck once; his role is more akin to hogan when he's playing forward, but without the midfield rotation

it was a classic hanger tho

Richmond with a late out the back goal to go into 3/4 time 13.14.92 to Casey’s 11.6.72

JKH is a long way back.  Getting involved, but having negative impact on every conterst

Got to the contest and won the pill in the forward flank late in the quarter, soon as he felt a bit of pressure he spilled it, straight back to the Opp for the clearing kick the other way.

Was getting on the end of a few clearances in the first but has since drifted out of the match.

We are getting killed at ball ups. Tigers getting 90% of first ball use. King poor. Flip reasonable at best.

One ripping mark followed by a shank kick = zilch.

Totally. His disposal is abysmal and he has zero impact at the contest. Won't make it in the seniors. Baker has shown a bit I think. His running shots on goal need work. Sparko has a go. We have been sloppy with disposal and failed to stick tackles.

You should change your name to Pollyanna or delusional.

If Casey can bring a manic pressure, man on man game in the last and finish their efforts off better coming inside 50 hitting up Pedders ....Clear out that forward line...too congested.  Spargo & JHK at the drop....you never know!

Some mids were reading the pill ok in the first but afterwards they have def won that battle easily OD.   I hate to say this but to me King looks intimidated by Salter in the ruck contest and is having Zero impact.

pedo does the instinctual things - marking, quick booming kicks into space, attacking the contest - so well

but every time he has a single moment to 'think' about it he generally mucks it up pretty badly

Pedders is the least of Casey's probs today Steve.  Has done ok given the way the ball is coming in and also had to work up the ground a little as well to help out and hit the contests.  Very serviceable.

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
