Is the away/alternative the same one this season? The lovely little royal blue number.

I don't think there is an Away Jumper per se. I thought we only wore the alternate strip when we are away and it clashes with the home team. If it doesn't clash with the home team then we wear our regular strip unless it's ANZAC day, Indigenous Round, Heritage Round, Breast Cancer Awareness Round or some other combination.

Nice, but not $300 nice.

Red back jumper

Just now, Demonland said:

Are we using the Red back jumper this year? Are we only using it when there is a slight clash? Royal Blue for big clashes?

Both

So.....Let me get this right....

We now have       A home jumper

                              An away jumper

                              An alternitive Jumper

                              An ANZAC day jumper

                              A pink breast cancer jumper

An aboriginal jumper      And now a 160 jumper

I feeling a bit confused

Not quite right, but yes it is a lot of jumpers.

  • Home (navy blue)
  • Clash 1 (navy blue with red back)
  • Clash 2 (royal blue)
  • Anzac Day
  • BCNA (assuming they are doing it this year)
  • Indigenous
  • 160 year

Sorry, DV.  I don't mean to be difficult.  But, every time someone has a go at Collingwood's alternate jumper I have to shake my head.  As much as I hate that team, the fact is their traditional jumper is predominantly BLACK, while their alternate is predominantly WHITE, and works perfectly well as a clash jumper...

And, as Essendon now have a predominantly red clash jumper, we really have no grounds for having a go at them any longer, either.

And, finally, as ours is now red & blue, kinda think the old clash jumper argument that raises its head every year is pretty much a non-subject this year...

Yeah.  I know.  Off subject!  Sorry guys!  Back on subject, I like the 160 Yr jumper!  (But, as stated earlier in this thread, my $300 will be going towards 10 bottles of 1495 Scotch.  (Yep, I know I'm a cheapskate on BOTH fronts!  LOL)

Whisky review #21: 1495 Blended Scotch Whisky

Here's one to avoid, Read on at your own peril! This whisky is called 1495 which refers to the first mention in historic text of the distillation of whisky in Scotland. I could go on but this whiskey doesn't deserve the attention. This is bad whisky! My lowest scoring whisky yet!

LOL.  Tastes good to my poor, old palate, and the price is right.  What more can I say...?!

redback vs Dogs & Saints I think (maybe one other?) royal blue for the rest

To be honest, I'm not sure we need to be celebrating the club's birth every 10 years. It should be every 25 to 50 at most.

This just seems unnecessary.

I don’t disagree with you Colin- but... what I do like is the fact that (at the moment) we are the only team that can have one!?

I'm a bit confused about it.

Are the only names appearing on the guernsey are from the people that pay the $300?

So if only 50 people buy into it, there will be 50 names printed on?

I assumed it had all past and present player’s name on it (as seen in the image) and your name would be printed on the back between the shoulders. But given the time they’re taking to manufacture I’d suggest I’m wrong.

I don’t really want to pay $300 for a jumper with a heap of random names on it.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
