Its time to get serious with Viney, Garlett, Tyson, Jetta are all best 22 and need to play prior to Round 1, if fit.

Assuming Lewis out only, with Harmes and ANB to recover and play.

B: Jetta - O Mac - Hibberd
HB: Vince - Lever - Brayshaw
C: Jones - Salem - Hunt
HF: Petracca - Hogan - Melksham
F: Bugg - T Mac - Garlett
Foll: Gawn - Oliver -  Viney

I/c: Harmes - Tyson - ANB - Hannan - (Maynard - Pedersen)

Emerg: Kent - Frost - JKH - Wagner - Stretch - Fritsch

ANB and Viney won't play. Possibly Fritsch & Kent

Last I’ll say on this but maybe they were happy with the progress he had made over the last 4 days so they go him out for some gentle straight line running. Not that hard to comprehend.

"Lewis, ANB running laps and 400m semi sprints. ANB looks to be moving ok."

Was one of the best trainers at the club in his first year. Since then - just hasn't wanted it enough IMO. Should be right up the front of the running groups instead of just another also ran. Goodwin showed him a lot of faith last year, picking him as soon as he was fit, same with ANB. ANB rewarded that faith getting super fit and giving his all on game day. Jay knows where the footy is going and can be a beautiful kick. With some toughness and real desire he could be a handy high half forward despite his lack of size and only average pace.

I remember I'd see him out on the town a fair bit (in my and his younger days). Not that he'd be doing anything wrong but some guys desperately want an AFL career, others are so good or so bad it doesn't matter and some have enough talent and work hard enough to stay on the list but not to really get the most out of themselves.

I think the biggest problem with JKH is that he has been playing a lot of inside mid minutes at Casey, which as we know, is a tough position to crack in to at senior level.

It does appear to me that the days of playing someone in a certain position at Casey, then picking them in a totally different position in the senior are over.  This is a good thing, but also can show how far off a player is, even if they are performing well at Casey.

Goody is after flexibility/adaptability in each player.  That said, the primary focus for all of his players is contested ball, so if they can't get it at senior level, they will spend plenty of time at Casey.  It takes someone that is excellent in their role to be excused (ie Jeffy).

Nibbler doesn't have a strained groin and he is playing tonight?

You know what.. You're not worth the effort. I actually enjoyed reading the majority of your posts, but the way you have gone after me for providing information because you weren't privy to it is nothing short of juvenile. "I didn't tell you all that, Nibbler didn't tell me that, it can't be true".

Scene: Family Day. Families and kiddies are gathered around players, chatting, getting autographs. Alex Neal-Bullen is among them.

A grizzled old supporter with a tic in one eye, and wearing a beanie, scarf, training jumper, duffel coat with Jack Mueller's number on the back, and club tie, limps near. It is The Satyr.

The Satyr: Alex!

(Everyone looks up. The kiddies flee in terror.)

ANB: (thinks) It's this guy again! The one who's always at training. What's he doing here? Why won't he leave me alone?

ANB: (aloud) G'day mate. Great to see you. Hope you're having a good--

The Satyr: I have this medical invoice I found in the dumpster behind the AAMI centre. It mentions an order for 100 boxes of linament and bandages. Items usually required to treat injured groins! I want to know everything that's going on with your groin, and I mean everything.

ANB: (thinks) Got to get away ... fast!

ANB: (aloud) All good, mate. Everything's fine. It's fine. It's good. It's .... fine. All fine.

The Satyr: Thank you. That's just what I was expecting to hear. (Gets out clipboard, ticks box, makes note. Looks around for Jordan Lewis.)

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
