FFS Saty grow a set! The MFC is not infallible. It is an entity, an organisation. Mistakes will be made - in admin, in drafting, in game plan, in rehab etc etc...  Shite happens.

It is actually ok to criticise ............... in fact it's healthy.

As for the highlighted comment. There are members and supporters who cannot get to training or even games regularly, or maybe never, who value and need this information. They should not be belittled or undervalued.

Constant carping and sycophancy is of no value to anyone.

Good points - but if you as a community criticise people enough they stop listening.

Just a thought - if you praise people enough, you will get what you want when you want it.

You just whinge and whine about any poster who offer even a slightly negative view of the club or it's players, regardless of how valid their point of view is.

virtually every other club website is more up to date and active at this time of year than ours, it's not unreasonable to suggest this is an area the club could improve, especially considering we've had some pretty big stuff happen recently with trade week and Max re-signing.

a lot of Demonland viewers are not only long term members but also financial supporters of the club and have a right to regular and up to date information. especially when it's so easy to point to other clubs who are better in this area.

Please in the big scheme of things what does it matter, I hear the whining at games, at functions, at training, on here.

I went to a focus group at the request of the Club a couple of years ago and listened to 2 hours of whinging and whining

It is often bemoaned on here about how MFC supporters are viewed by other supporters, one, a pack of whingers and whiners who think they are entitled

We traded for Lever and Balic and traded Jack Watts, you didn't know this, and delistings   pages of info on here

Assistant coach changes

Rawlings to Casey

Plapp to coaching Panel

Garland to the Womens teams

No other news

We aren't talking about the big scheme of things, we are talking about the website.

our website is not nearly as active and up to date as other clubs at this time of year, it's an area the club could clearly improve.

I don't think it's whinging to point that out.

if a more active and up to date website makes the club more appealing and makes members and supporters feel more engaged and involved with the club more often, that's a good thing. we need that membership base to grow, and sitting on our hands and not pointing out areas we can improve isn't the way to do that.

if you don't like the whinging at games, functions, training and on Demonland i'm sure you know the solution to that issue isn't whinging about the whinging on here.

I don't look at other club' websites, but current news (e.g. Max singing, Garland retiring) always seems to be, well, current.

Just remember Davey, there is a lot of reasonable/sensible ground between your two points. They are not absolutes.

Beats listening to the Bible and reading the wife.......

100% agree & I would go as far to say their hearts are in the right place.

In the back of my mind is the idea that all players are contracted to their clubs until 31 October each year. If that's right, the club might actually be correct if it still has the delisted players named on the website. But perhaps I'll check again tomorrow.

Nevertheless, (a) the club must have a social media policy that recognises the need for accurate and timely information and (b) notwithstanding my comment at (a), in the overall scheme of things, it shouldn't actually matter.

Perhaps you should visit the Club website? It has Garland, Watts and Spencer listed as players (but not Lever or Balic)!? Best to stick to Demonland if you want information however!

Not only that, but Jake Lever will, for the first time in football history, don the number '0'.  I guess it's fitting as there would be a few of those on the end of his contract.

Maybe Lever could get 4, Harmes upgraded to 27 and Balic get 43? Not sure why they can’t feature a headshot of Lever and Balic in MFC guernseys? ?

I'd say so ... the style is a different but the message is the same.

Sounds like he would be 0000 if related to his yearly contract!

Was Jade Rawling the backline coach last year?

Another thread said he was highly regarded.

If he was so good I don’t understand why our backline had four fundamental issues:

1. Goalsquare often left vacant and easy goals would just go through.

2. Three or more defenders would jump up to spoil, leaving a free opposition forward to shark the spoil and goal.

3. At boundary thrown ins in the backline, there would often be a clear path to goal without a defender goal side of the ruckman ready to block a direct path to goal.

4. Kick outs. We should have two or three max designated kick out players, Salem, maybe Lewis and not sure who the third might be?

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
