Sauce just might break some records in the middle. All respect to pedo as he has done his best, but hit outs are gonna be a nightmare.

We have to be on our absolute best to for FOUR quarters. Dinky handballs, quarter brain fades and not moving the ball quickly will result in an absolute hiding.

Just show some brains and fight. Not too much to ask. Hope we can at least give 100% from start to finish.

See, I love a smokey whiskey, but I also love cigars so that probably explains it. I had a Glenlivet last night and one from Local Timboon, both great but I love the Islay malts and I'm going to visit them all!!! ?

Play the ruck as no more than a diversion, and keep Jacobs guessing as to where the contact/opposition will come from (excluding centre bounces of course). Commit to halving as many aerial contests as possible with a frenzied attack on the ball at the fall, emphasis on forward momentum at all costs. Bring the ball through the corridor as much as possible with smart handball (yes, handball) and same emphasis on forward momentum. Our midfield extractors are the key, and Watts, Petracca and Hunt must run all day to present as the feed/run option through the middle. Play Hannan out of the square and give him space to avoid minimise influence of extra defenders, with Jeffy on the hunt. They are the two who have the most X-factor, and worry solo defenders. Also give Jeffy regular stints through the middle when we're coming out of defence. If Weeds plays, he must be the marking contest target out of defence (even from kick outs). He and Pedersen are our only tall marking targets and must be used appropriately. Overall, speed, directness and high risk footy are required. Shackles are off, all day.

Received 3 coaches votes which validates impact on result. Got alot of hitouts but we won the clearances, moreso he as dangerous pushing forward and back unlike Pedo. Rose coloured glasses don't help you on the occasion you have a good point to make.

Win the clearances. Negate the half back run of Laird and Smith. Move the ball forward quickly and hit up short forward 50 targets rather than bomb. Play CP and Hannan deep and hope one has a 4-5 goal game.

Keep ball low. Passing has to be chest-whackers. Fwds to present not wait.  Not up and undering.

Negate their advantages.

If we do this fn useless over handballing then id rathet the team find nearest pub and watch other game. Might confuse Adelaide for a while

Thanks A F....your right, he was in the side against Freo as well when he laid one tackle. I guess I thought he was good against Geelong but he was less than average in his second so cudos for the FD making a change. I think I was just baffled by JKH's chances but I suppose he is young and the club want to give him some confidence....hence Goody singing his praises. Be interesting to see Kent play today.

I agree with all of this except I'd say Petracca's x factor is what will scare defenders and he's already one of the best contested marks in our team.

Yeah, I think the FD rate Kent's ceiling higher than JKH, but it's all about mental application. It was about giving JKH possibly his last chance vs ensuring a player who has played 54 games has the right habits to play in this team.

Let's hope he lays a bunch of tackles tonight and shows he's learnt what it takes to play in our forwardline.

If he does this, I've no doubt he'll get involved offensively and on the scoreboard as well.

He got 1 more goal than Pedo, so may be slight exaggeration on your part for being more dangerous going forward

I don't have rose coloured glasses, just don't look for mistakes only when watching the footy or have pangs of envy for opposition players

I support the team, the 1st quarter was horrible, the second not much better, the 3rd was excellent, the 4th a team effort, McEvoy did not win Hawthorn the game as Pedersen did not lose it
