I didn't get one. Maybe MCC/MFC Members were spared the embarrassment

I was feeling a bit left out, but ours arrived today. And just to add a little more insult they sent two (just in case one got lost?)

I presume the other club was St KIlda. I don't hear anything of their members getting them.

Speaking of St.Kilda,  about five years ago i was at the Demon shop and was looking at a jacket, the jacket was red and blue with a black, red and white tag with st.kilda fc on the front of the zipper; i said to the girl who was working there, i think you need to check your stock, she said why? I said because we are the Melbourne football club, not the st.kilda football club, she tried too brush it a side and blame the people from over seas for putting the wrong zipper on the jacket; i then said to her well who 1. took them out of the boxes and 2. who placed them on the rack? She had nothing too say after that.

Hahahaha

Australia Post now does not guarantee delivery until 4 business days after postage. Can't remember when they ever had next day delivery besides express post which even then was hit and miss.

Actually I have just been away for 4 days and got an email back from the club, which I wasn't really expecting.

On monday when I still may have been a bit angry I emailed back in reply to those emails we received about buying finals tickets.

Checked my emails today and got one back from the club explaining that the clubs holding the top 10 positions on the ladder had to send those emails out to members before the finals under instruction by the AFL. I guess with the 8 not set the AFL wanted to be prepared.

So now I understand why we got that info and for people in the media and other people bagging us, no we didnt get ahead of ourselves, it was a requirement.

What a shambles.  Maybe next year when this requirement is set by the AFL, they can produce a neutral non team orientated (AFL branded?) brochure much like what the MCC produces for finals arrangements.

I don't think Melbourne's "communication", or whatever you want to call it, is any different from any communication over the last few years. Unless there is some specific information being released, I automatically delete it.

Anyone else get this in the mail? These numpty's send this out before the final round when we werent guaranteed a spot. Im still gutted. Like the upcoming postal survey, this was a waste of money. Getting ahead of ourselves?...I think so

I think someone said they were sent out a while ago.
It was always going to go down in two ways, we make it then I would be so excited to receive it or lose and I'd  be shattered to receive it.
I'm more [censored] off at the players than anything else and I will be for a while.
I'm sick of using the words IF and we would. WE WOULD be playing port 'IF' we made it and so on. I want to use the words WE ARE  :(

If it was an AFL directive to send these fraudulent pieces of information out to Members, then The MFC should have said "NO, we will send it out on Saturday evening, via email, if we win"

once again we rolled over and are now the butt of jokes again.

Those hard copies should have been shredded on Saturday night (by Goodwin & The Players)

this whole episode makes me so angy to see these still being delivered on the following friday.....
