AFL Semi Finals Weekend 2016

Featured Replies

Hawks are the most boring side in the comp, playing park the bus soccer and counter attacking. If Boyd could impose himself up fwd doggies are away.

It's hilarious how dejected Bruce sound every time the Bulldogs kick a goal, despite the game tightening up and becoming a thrilling contest.

Pathetic and biased, is Bruuuuuuuuce. Needs to retire yesterday.

how quickly it changes.. go doggies.

But should have built a handy lead by now. Too many misses

Still reckon it will have cost them

Called that touched straight away, yet the ball went all the way to the centre. It was clear as bloody day!

These umpires are [censored] morons.

Any reason that Bruce has this obsession with "arching the back". So annoying.

"And, again, Rioli and Puopolo there, those sharp hands... wow."

- Bruce

30 seconds after both players make regulation handballs. Please just shut up Bruce, there's 36 players out there, not 2.

Poor game from Tory Dickson - is making some basic errors.

I always assume it's a homo-erotic* thing with Bruce, esp when the Hawks are playing.

* Not that there's anything wrong with that..........

..........except when Bruce calls the hawks.

That was a beautiful, risky passage by the Dogs. Great to see it rewarded with a goal. None of this zoning, defensive, sleep-inducing Hawthorn rubbish!

Not one word from Bruce for 30 seconds after Stringer kicks it. :)

Maybe they were just hoping that the guys in the box were as biased as those on the field.

Bulldogs are so dangerous when they play on quickly, can't get sucked into the Hawthorn defence. Have to spread it out and open the corridor, then take the riskier option.

How good has Roughead become!?!?

Geez the Hawks are bloody sooks when the cheap free kicks go against them. Don't seem to mind when they get all the cheap free kicks every other week.

Hawks starting to squeal like little piggies...

Terrible decision...... but I'll take it!

reminds me of when we played the dogs, Mclean ducked and got a few frees

And it is their leaders who are the main sooks. Burgoyne, Mitchell, Hodge.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
