They're 3 games and 10 percentage points clear with 3 to go.  Come on mate, anything is possible, but that's such a low probability of happening that it's definitely not worth mentioning.

I know...I know.

DREAM!

My better-half who is a late convert to the game  made mention today how we (MFC) seem to get a) a hard deal from the umps and b) are victims of barracking by commentators like Derwayne who want us to lose!

I can't stand Derwayne such a #@!*head

Dare to dream....looking at Norths run they could easily get thumped in a few of those Sydney and GWS......just did the ladder predictor, got us sneaking in by about 1.5% points.....then we play Geelong (again) followed by Whorethorn (again)......probably play Adelaide in the Granny.

We can beat Adelaide.

Sensational win today. It shows what the Demons are capable of. The talent is there to rise further next year.

Enjoy the win everyone. I am going to buy the match DVD.

A bloke called Jesse Hogan still to add back in.

You can still buy those?

I'm a bit slow. Just go and hug somebody and explain. You might get lucky.

Paul Roos - perhaps his legacy will now truly be that of a Messiah - (or possibly Moses, leading his people out of the wilderness).

Anyway, for Roos, today has been the long awaited validation & vindication prior to his valediction.

WHY DO I NEED TO SEE RIOLI'S UGLY MUG ON TV? WE WON, NOBODY GIVES A SH!T ABOUT RIOLI!

know. Just watching Fox.  Rioli kicked four goals they say, yeah with help of umps for at least two of them. He didn't get pinged for hit on Clayton Oliver then gets free himself.  Fair's fair. Dees won, but it's all Clarkson and Hawks rooms, being interviewed.

Just back for a short break. Couldn't get to the game but watched whilst babysitting grandkids.  They learned some new adjectives, verbs and nouns!

What a win.

Surely, some adverbs as well. Fxxxing in the right context is an adverb.

I, m up there as far as age goes with other demonland members on this site and are just speechless. One thing Dawes v Pederson argument over

Might come close to matching you for age and could not agree more. Competed harder, marked harder, led better and fought on desperately on the ground. Deserves another match.

I am sick of the love affair with Cyril. He is a good footballer but the media obsession is out of hand. On the news tonight they said we won and then proceeded to say how Cyril kicked 4 goals and showed Cyril's highlights! Why don't they show highlights of the match and how a team won! Pathetic.

Anyway [censored] Cyril. And [censored] the Hawks. Go Dees!!!!

I hope none of our people ever copy what carlton and norf supporters did when they thought they had some talent. Opening Big Footy threads asking "who has the best midfield", followed by 20 paragraphs why they think theirs is the burgeoning superpower. So embarrassing.

But you are correct. We finally look to have a bucket load of actually talented footballers running through the middle. Watch them start to line up from other clubs now. This is the sort of win that gets the footy world talking.

BEST:

Hawthorn: Rioli, Smith, Hodge, Lewis, Mitchell

That fall from the top is going to be like plummeting off a cliff. I cannot wait.

Yep, exactly what I said to my sister after the game.

Just now, Rodney (Balls) Grinter said:

No Mitchell is defiantly the weakest [censored] of all

Hard to disagree Balls. Both are [censored]

Biggest troll on 3AW anyway. Clearly not a Melbourne supporter, but claimed to be. The commentators sounded suspicious, which is why they questioned him.

He's also a sniper. It baffles me how he gets suspended multiple times for acts of thuggery belting guys in the face or trying to crunch their head into a goal post, how he gets done drink driving, yet gets talked about as such a good bloke. He's a dirty sniper.

Anyway [censored] him. And [censored] the Hawks. We smashed them. GO DEES!!!!!!

Just saw on afl tonight, Mitchell punched Watts while watts was on the ground. He better get cited and given WEEKS. Talk about snipers. Last time ceglar thumped Hogan behind play and he didn't get cited. Tim Watson said on 7 news he'll be reported and get a week.  Hawks are untouchable by the looks of it

Peddo for Jordan Gysberts, the best trade since Bernie Vince for Colin Silvia.

Yes I thought Cyril was doing a fair bit of unjustified, and, as it turned out, premature strutting today. A couple of times he seemed to be waiting for the adoring fellow players to gather around for the predictable accolades.

Back past the Aints again to sit in 10th, will hold it if they fall to Carlton tomorrow - can't see that happening though.

Whoever wins out of us and Port next week goes a game clear of the other.  Should have our sights on 9th place now.

Carlton are a chance.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
