Still in this

C'mon Demons...

Yes we are but, yeah, Dawes has been a poor selection.

Our leaders really need to stand up

Dawes need to just do something, as we are currently p-laying with only 17 on the field with him atm.

He needs to do it again and again.

I was just saying how great Dawesy's been. Vital to our structure.

I am so sick of this team carrying omac... dead set liability.

Tough ask with Jacobs on him, but Gawn really needs to stamp his authority on this game.

Any chance we can not let them score whenever there's a minute left?

What's the ostensible reason for oMac over dunny?

Dunn for Frost would have been handy today....is he still injured?

Why?  Dunn wouldn't have stopped that mark.  It was to Jenkins' advantage.

Big quarter in the context of our season coming up.

Little chance to make the 8, but winning this could really give us some momentum for the rest of the year.

not that mark...the kick in that went OOTF

Clearances, clearances, clearances. That's what this game has been all about, and will likely decide the game in the last quarter.

Omac, Dawes, Harmes, Frost all need to be dropped.

So many turn overs hurting us.

This has been one of the most frustrating games I've watched for some time.

I just hope we can get on top and make a statement in this last quarter. Otherwise, Dry July could be in jeopardy.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
