hells bells 2,023 Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Not sure if this has been posted, must admit it gave me a little rise downstairs. Melbourne out of hell: Demons on the rise

Cards13 9,117 Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 From the article: "Jack Viney is the spiritual leader. Concrete takes a backward step when it sees him coming.."
Moonshadow 17,678 Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 This one is straight from here... "Although there will be those hardy fans whose pessimism is so ingrained they would refuse to believe in progress at Demonland even if they saw Nathan Jones holding a premiership cup aloft on grand final day."
Sir Why You Little 37,450 Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Thanks for the read still plenty of work to do but the players must be seriously believing they can match any side...
Demonland 74,395 Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 I agree with the spirit of the article however we need to put the runs on the board. 3 of the teams we have beaten have been terrible and we were lucky to get away with a win in Round 1. There are great signs but we need to start winning the games we should win and take a few scalps along the way. The Demons ARE on the rise.
Tough Kent 2,138 Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 I know the author well. Knowing his dislike for all things MFC it must've pained him to write it.

I find it hard to believe that people hate Melbourne, other than those who have supported them their whole lives.

I know him too although haven't spoken to him for years. He's a die-hard Richmond supporter but I didn't think he minded the Dee's all that much?
P-man 13,367 Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 The author looks EXACTLY like someone I know who has absolutely no interest in sport. Weird. it's nice to know that some are starting to pick up the scent. A Giants v Demons GF in a few years doesn't take a vivid imagination. Okay, maybe a little vivid...

We won because we played better than them. Was a seriously good come from behind victory against a side that has since beaten Geelong and Hawthorn. Don't know why people try and downplay it. Easily our most impressive victory of the year.

I read the article, but to be honest I thought it read like a well written post on here. I thought he must have been a demon supporter.
