The first game this round won't be pretty....and I couldn't be happier. I think.Richmond will cop a belting. Think the Eagles will win by 53.

For our sake next week, I genuinely hope the Tigers get up tonight.

Why on earth would any Demon supporter want us to play against them after an entire week of media shitestorm following a belting and 1-3 season start? Those are the exact games we always manage to lose.

If they win tonight next week will follow a familiar script: Tigers will get way ahead of themselves after defeating grand final contenders then waltz into next week expecting a walkover. It's equally as predictable from the Tigers, and would be the perfect chance for us to strike a "surprise" win.

I'm looking forward to our game of course but tonight could be interesting (West Coast vs Rich*) along with a few other notable encounters ... Adel/Syd Sat night,  North/Freo (Sun Twilight) & the early game on Sunday (GWS/Port)

The Hawks/Saints match might be a decent game if St Kilda can play as well as they played last week.  The free-to-air games on Saturday are a bit dodgy though ... I can see a couple of big wins to the Cats & Doggies.

*As DA noted above, the Tigers won the encounter in WA last season but I reckon the Eagles will win this time around.

Anyone see that play with Fostin tackled well after he lost the pill? Semi sling tackle. No free. Rance pushed in back while on ground then someone sat on his back and rolled over him then he was clocked in the head by Kennedy. 3 frees on the one player. NOTHING!

Watch as the Umps put the whistle away on the Tiges to get Weagles up by four or five by the main break. So predictable.

Richmond's turnovers are terrible. Make ours look half decent

And Hardwick told us last week that the Tigers were the best kicking side in the comp.

What are the chances we turn both collingwood's and Richmond's seasons around? ??

Don't go there Song, I'm currently in a good place.

Their drafting has been horrible. Taylor Hunt, Andrew Moore, Ben Lennon, Corey Ellis, Shaun Grigg, Shaun Hampson and the list goes on..

31 inside 50's to 6 before half time! It is getting ugly.

Before the game Hardwick was reminded by reporters about Richmonds recent form over west (which to be fair has been good), it's as if he thought it was just going to happen again. I would of thought a response of something along the lines of "it counts for nothing" or "our form has been poor this year and we need to be at our best tonight" would of been more appropriate. There was no sense of urgency in the way Hardwick spoke, not sure if he's lost the players or just simply has himself fooled.

Hampson crippled. Might miss round 5. Wonder if Vickers is scared of what WCE might do to him if he moves into the ruck, especially after his hit on Big Cox a could of years ago.

And he's a staging actor as well

Tigers are playing like us from a few years aho at the moment. 21-4 inside 50s. Tigers suck and it's glorious.

Tigers are handball happy tonight Wise. Might work some of the time coming off HB but as you know you eventually have to hit targets at the end of some early good use of handball into the clear. Failing pretty badly at this part so far. Undoing all of their good early work.

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
